If we can lock up Steven Jackson in the offseason , Goodell should just give us the Lombardi on the spot .

If we keep putting our 3rd string RB in we won't even make the playoffs.[IMG]

Well- lets take a looksy at the schedule.
I think we can get to & win the Super Bowl. But our secondary needs a makeover and we can't be getting injured. Ben has to play like Ben & I think it's important to get the other receivers & DeAngelo involved.
IMO, we can beat any team in the NFL, CFL, & AFL. But WILL we beat them?

    Home
    Cowboys- Yes
    Patriots- YES
    Giants- ??
    Jets- ??
    Chiefs- No
    Ravens- YES
    Browns- yes
    Bungals- yessss!

    Away
Bills-?? We should but I dunno.
    Dolphins- No
    Eagles- Yes
    Redskins- ??
Colts- ?? (Because of how good
    we've played them,
    we'll prolly screw it up)
    Ravens- Yes
    Browns- yes
    Bengals- No
    (8-3-5)

I think we should sit Ben, LeVeon, DeAngelo, & AB during both of the Bengals game. I'm only half joking. They're dirty pieces of poo- they're gonna try hurt at least one of our guys! Unlike Tomlin, I do live in my fears.

You're worried about the Chiefs? We'll beat them. Heck, we almost beat them at Arrowhead with Landry Jones. The KC game doesn't worry me at all. We're 10-4 at home all-time against Kansas City (4-0 at Heinz) with a 5-game home winning streak that dates back to 1986.

I'm not worried about the game at Miami either. We're 11-2 in Florida since 2000 (3-0 at Miami). That usually has a home game type of feel down there. I'll be at that game for sure.

I think our toughest match-ups at home are:
    1) New England (2-4 at home vs Brady; 2-8 overall vs Brady; 1-game home winning streak though)
    2) Baltimore (always tough; 3-5 in our last 8 at home against them -- 4 of the 5 losses by 3pts)
    3) Cincinnati (we seem to play them better at their place than ours: 4-3 in our last 7 at Heinz, 6-1 in our last 7 in Cincy)
    4) NY Giants (we're 1-6-1 against them at home in the last 8; that dates back to 1968; we've only played them twice at home in the last 25 years: a loss in '91 at Three Rivers and a loss at Heinz in '08)
    5) NY Jets (Fitzpatrick is better than people think and their wr corps is strong; still, 9-1 all-time home record vs the Jets)
    6) Kansas City (they don't worry me too much because of Alex Smith but their defense is good and they always seem to play us close as I recall us sweating out prime time wins over guys named Thigpen and Palko)
    7) Dallas (Romo will probably be out for that game)
    8) Cleveland

I think our toughest road match-ups are:
    1) Cincinnati (we play well there but I'm pretty sure that city is going to be pretty fired up for that game -- could get ugly; that's their Super Bowl)
    2) Baltimore (always a tough game even with Ryan Mallet at qb; 3-10 in our last 13 at their place)
    3) Indianapolis (I have a feeling Andrew Luck will have a much better season next year)
    4) Buffalo (Tyrod Taylor could give us fits with his legs; we owe Buffalo a favor; we're 5-7 all-time at Buffalo; 4-8 if Stevie Johnson could catch)
    5) Philadelphia (we've lost 8 straight at Philly but they currently have no identity; I think we'll break that streak this year)
    6) Washington (Skins were a playoff team; Cousins isn't bad; 1-4 in our last 5 trips to DC but we've won 5 straight overall)
    7) Miami (6-2 in our last 8 trips to Miami and 3 straight)
    8) Cleveland

I take this with a grain of salt... a lot can go wrong, as we have seen happen this year.

I think first and foremost: can we keep Ben healthy? Seems he gets really nicked up every time he even takes just 1 hit.

Haley was brought in to keep Ben healthy. I think that and not turning the ball over should be more of a priority next year.

I'm not worried about any team- besides the Bungals because of injuries. But you know we usually lose like 2 games a season that we really should've won. The trick is trying to guess which games we'll screw up! I agree that Cincy will be our toughest road game.

Everything depends on injuries. Look at this year.

We had the toughest strength of schedule last year lost bell and bryant to start the season, the lost bell for the season, lost ben for 4.5 games and pouncey for pretty much the whole year and won 10 games. Thats pretty incredible. Next year we are gonna have one of the easiest schedules with a ridiculously talented team. They are gonna be favored to win it all next year.

On paper Steelers will have one of the easiest schedules. NFC East could be a lot better in '16... likewise with the AFC East.

How do you figure any of those weak teams will be good enough to come close to what the steelers are........????

Any given Sunday. The Steelers lost to the Bucs, Jets and Browns in '14... and Ravens twice in '15. I can see the Steelers losing at least one game to any one of the teams in the NFC East... and one game to either Bills, Jets or Dolphins. That's 2 losses right there that are almost gauranteed. This doesn't count potential losses to Patriots, Bengals, Chiefs and Ravens. I refuse to annoint the Steelers to anything at this point in time.

If Ben stays healthy all year... anywhere from 11-5 to 13-3. If Ben misses any considerable time: 9-7 or worse.

I disagree------------- there is so much friggin talent growdkowski could win 13 games.............. They did not play 1 game with the whole offense last year........

Those odds are useless, free agency or the draft hasn't happened yet.

The draft does not change the odds not one bit and free agency usually does not change the odds unless a bigtime qback goes to a contender like when manning went to denver other than that the odds will not change much.......
