I wanted to vent, but didn't know the best thread, but:

As well as our D played, I honestly thought they would have played better. I really thought Heyward and Tuitt in this game would have collapsed the pocket, but didn't really see that happen.

We were bringing the safety blitz all game, it was starting to become predictable ... I really thought some blitzes by Timmons and Shazier would have helped out more. It just proves the fact we need a pass rusher on this team that can do it by himself.

I'm worried about next year because Will Allen and Silverback have been lynch pins for us, but I'm not sure if it is smart to bring them back at their respective ages?

Between his age and the length of this season, he has been money right to the end. I say if JH wants to stay, let him - he's money.

I think the question you need to ask yourself is this - do we have anyone *better* to replace them?

The frustration is no team was or is great this year. We could have been great, except for the injuries. The Super Bowl was ripe for the picking by us. Even the weak spot, the "D" started to gel. If we somehow got by this week we could have won it all (sigh).

As for next season, we WILL win the division IF we do not have the same misfortune on the injury front. We have a whole lot of talent. Just need a little more help in the secondary to sure things up.

I have been known to vent after losses. Thing is, I have been watching the NFL for over 40 years and only 6 out of those years was I not disappointed by a loss and I have seen the Steelers lose big games pretty much every way imaginable. Those 6 Lombardis are special and make the seasons like this one tolerable.

Only a few responses to this post for a good reason. There's not much to vent about. We came to play. We played hard and we played tough. Extremely proud of this team today. Win with class. Lose with class.

They needed more of a pass rush on that noodle arm Peyton Manning.
