One thing you have to realize..is when you play in Denver if you are not winning by atleast a touch down late in the 4th with a depleted team and the thin air you are just prey for the hawk to make the kill and that's what happened to the Steelers today.

on the field goals - somehow he's got to have confidence in Boswell on 50 plus. All year he rarely let Boswell go for 50 plus. at least try him and see what he's got. there were potentially 6 points left on the board - 3 each half.

Especially in Denver where 50+ yards is the norm. I like how Danny Smith was giving MT an ear full after we punted into the end zone. The game really could have been 16-12 and then 19-16 shortly thereafter. But who knows. It's not worth worrying about I guess.

It was a 52 yard kick with the wind. (2nd 4th).

Punted on 4ths that would have been 50 and 52 kicks with the wind.

Kicked into the wind from 47 and 43. Made both.

    It was a good season.

Tomlin is a genius so don't try to fault him. He will be the first to tell you that if you go -1 in turnovers you lose evey time.

You can't play against the opponents, the stupid decisions your Head Coach makes, and at times, the officials and expect to win the game. It's especially hard to do in the playoffs against good teams.
I'm not sure we can win another Super Bowl with him as our coach.

Bill is playing for the title almost every year because their division sux so bad they always have home field advantage. And I'm glad u have a team to root for next week. Everyone eshe on here will be rooting for the Broncos.

Boswell was 2/2 from 50+ and 11/14 from 40+ in the regular season.

No way he makes a 50 and 52 yarder.

Come on people! On kickoffs Boswell BARELY kicked it to the stands. He was only 5 yards past the endzone.

No way he kicks it 50+ yards. He doesn't have the range.

    ;)

I said the fumble hurt us. So did the drops by the receivers. I'm not saying that Tomlin lost us the game. But he certainly didn't help us with some of the decisions he made.

I believe we were on the 33 yd line. 50 yd - very doable. Punting on the 33 yd line is moronic. We totally out played them. Manning did not deserve a win. Also, the refs definitely played a role in this win for Denver. Several interference calls ignored and the no call on Manning's slide.

Missing the 4th and 1 in the first half was on Ben. Had Heath wide open for the first down, but went for the HR instead...

He may be a bad coach, but his players will run through a brick wall for him. He has kept this team together in spite of the injuries.

So doesn't that mean THEY all have a "team to root for" too? LOL! I totally agree that their division sucks. But you know what? The Ravens suck too and we lost BOTH of our games against them this year. You still have to win the games. Also it's not like the pats have worldbeaters besides Gronk and Brady. But what they DO have are guys that are well coached and understand situations in games and are prepared for them. They also don't have a coach with a single bit of "sentiment" whatsoever. If a guy loses a step he is gone. If a guy gives up multiple big plays he is gone. I don't feel like we have that around here. We watched Blake get torched for an ALL TIME RECORD this year and the dude was STILL starting. I'm just saying that there are things that annoy me about our team sometimes. Out of curiosity though, if you do consider Tomlin a great football mind and smart coach I would honestly love to hear your reasoning for that. That's an honest question and not meant to be inflammatory. I value everyone's opinion around here and everybody on here knows that.

I agreed with punting it until he punted it 5 yards into the endzone. I mean if your not going to go for the FG make sure you punt it OUTSIDE the endzone so we have a chance to pin them deep. Just such a bad punt there.

Tomlin probably has the 2nd or 3rd best resume of any coach in the NFL.

Some people probably think "timeout usage", goes on the resume. Lol

AND they took a delay of game penalty to move him back! And he still punted it into the endzone.

No one here said that he could not make 50+ under normal conditions. IIRC the wind was trending almost 20 mph

It was just incredibly stupid. SURELY they told him not to do that. I HAVE to believe they told him that. I mean if you are gonna punt there I don't see why they didn't just let Ben run a pooch and catch them looking.

Ben hasn't run a pooch in probably 5 years. I used to love that play.

Worst decision was the 4th and 5 when Ben got sacked...... Because everyone was running 20 yard routes.

We were more competitive than I expected considering the injuries.

Actually I think one of the worst decisions in the game was when we got pinned deep and ran 3 straight times.
