It did, but we've done really well with fumbles this year. I don't hold it against the guy. Tough spot to be in. This team has fought through a lot of adversity.

There's a reason he was a practice squad scrub. Oh well, what could have been...

I don't usually lay blame on one guy. But, the game was clean otherwise. One turnover was going to do us in with out the likes of an AB or Bell to bail the team out. Fitz should be bagging groceries next year.

Adrian Peterson, one of the best if not the best running backs fumbled in their playoff game, it costed them the win against Seattle.

Toussiant was no Leveon bell or Williams.
But he performed well but it could just have easily been another player in the same situation.

I think the game has a different result if not for that fumble. It's unfortunate.

Yes it is unfortunate. What the f×!k do you guys expect with a 4th string RB out there?

I was more shocked after that play, with the the steelers defense. they got no pressure on manning. there was poor tackling of the denver offense. the denver rushing offense had its way with the defense afterwards.

    Sigh.

I've said my piece in other threads about this. People laying the blame at Toussaint's feet need to recognise what that kid has done for us in the last few weeks, and also recognise how not converting drives into TDs is going to bite you in the ass eventually.

I'm not denying the fumble was significant, but seriously. Give him a break.

I'm going to give him a slight pass on this, because of the way he and Todman stepped up last week

he did fumble and very likely could have lost us the game but you really think he wanted to fumble, what about the facemask penalty on the lineman that killed a drive that looked like was going to produce point did that cost us the game too.

Order of blame.. Tomlin - for not getting a good back-up when Bell was ruled out for the year so anything Toussaint does falls on him. Also, for not having a good punt returner. Then I would blame Haley for his conservative gameplan.

Football is strange, how Steelers win last week be of a fumble and then they turn around and lose because of their own....oh, the irony!

Unfortunate but it happens. Bettis did the same thing but luckily the Colts screwed it up.

That's true, bobby. Gilbert can be co-goat. This was his worst game of the year. He was rock solid for most of the year.

I could almost live with it, the guy is deep depth, but he was carrying that sucker like it was a porcupine. Wrap it up, dummy.

Fumble hurt, but D had a 3rd and 12 chance to get off the field. Not killing them, because they played well. Steelers just didn't make enough plays and made the biggest mistake.

Yup, I'm not bashing the player. He was great last week and made some good plays today. But the fumble was killer. Reminiscent of Mendenhall in SB 45.

It's a shame because it look like we were driving to possibly score touchdown and put this game away

Yep, and Bettis is idolized by Steeler fans - justifiably. It happens to the best of them. Just crappy timing.

I agree that the fumble hurt as we were moving the ball well. But, the field position that Denver got the ball was worse than it started many of it's drives from tonight. It is not like he fumbled it on our 10 yard line. I say the loss is more due to the soft zone that has allowed quarterbacks all year to gain outrageous yards on us all year. Then because of those easy yards we cannot get off the field and if we do make a team punt they are most of the time on our side of the field which kills field position for us.

Also, we had too many 1st and 2nd down rushes. Besides the two end around's we had 15-16 rushes for about 20 yards. We averaged 14 yards a pass play. Half of those rushes should of been play action or short safe routs. Way too may 3rd and 7 or 8's today. It let Denver rush Ben with no thought of the run.

Went conservative Cowher ball second half... That's on the coordinator and bombs away Ben coupled with some drops. D played good enough to win, the O failed... Damn injuries and play calling
