that's total BS, I don't this Munchak did anything on purpose and Peeze just was concerned about 84, 10 grand is a lot of money for that. Don't the league think the Steelers have suffered enough by a thug taking out 2 all pro players in the playoffs!

    But Gilberry less than $10K?

I get that Porter wasn't technically supposed to be out there, but the refs could have sent him off at any minute, and allowed him to stay. Porter is standing there, and Gilberry bumps him the way you do when trying to start a fight, and Porter gets the bigger fine?

Munchak deserved it. If you read the rules and go by the letter of the law like Bunghole fans want to do on the Shazier hit, Porter was allowed to be out there. Watch the video, no doubt Burfict and his band of (not so) merry men accosted him.

Pathetic that Porter was fined. Is the league going to fine all coaches that step on the field from now on?

Or just the ones who get accosted?

    Joke of a league :bscow:

The non-fine on Shazier - good call.
The fine on Munchak - don't like it, but could see it coming.
The fine on Porter - BS. That's about appeasing an angry mob, if it ever was.

While they might be saying the fines are for this or that action the reality is that they are more in the way of saying we need to take control of the game again. It's about the black eye they gave the league and sending the message no more will be tolerated

Who cares, it's not a ton of money for those guys. It doesn't affect the team whatsoever.

Besides, we don't know if Porter was jawing with the Bengals players or not. Only the refs know that and I'm sure they were asked that very question by the NFL before the fine was handed out. Without knowing exactly what was happening and being said out there, you can't say it is or isn't BS. A coach can't be on the field chirping at players.

The NFL probably still has Porter on fine 'auto-fill' from his playing days. Maybe the other players can chip in and cover the fine.

I thought that "Jerry" Porter handled the situation better than most people would if they were being pushed into a herd of thugs. Porter probably did say something to Burfict when he put his dirty hand on AB. But Porter still didn't deserve being pushed or being fined.

I do wonder about how much these fines have to do with the 31.2 million people that watched this game. I've heard people on the radio & TV complain about how the teams should be embarassed. Blah blah blah.

I think Joey would win an appeal. All he needs is the youtube video
Munch? he took one for the team and it just cost us.
I got a feeling and hope they both find a $10,000 bonus in their check sometime this year. Just a heads up, you can be given a gift of cash up to $12,500 each year and do not have to report it as income

There is ABSOLUTELY NO EVIDENCE WHATSOEVER that Porter said anything to the Bungle thugs who shoved him, surrounded him and tried to goad him into a fight. He deserves a medal for self restraint if you ask me. And Munchak was responding to a shove by another one of the Bungle punk thugs, Reggie Nelson. The Steelers should give both Porter and Munchak $10,000 discretionary bonuses to offset their fines.
