Hello fellow Steeler fanatics!! Been a long time lurker here and from the old board at Steelers.com. Figured it was about time to join the board for the best team in the NFL!! (MY whole family is Bronco fans but me)
I have been a Steelers fan since 1975 when I was 9 years old and starting getting interested in football. I live in Wyoming and couldn't stand the colors of the Denver Broncos and wanted to follow a team that was intimidating and bas @ss! It was between the Raiders and Steelers and the black and gold blew away the silver and black in the cool factor. Little did I know back then what a class and loyal organization the Steelers were and have stayed true to that till this day (even having to suffer through the 80's and early 90's teams). After high school in 1984 I moved to Denver to further my education and I have been to EVERY Steelers regular season Steelers/Broncos game since then (I had to move back to Wyoming in 07 to take care of my father) and have only missed the 05 and 11 playoff games due to funds and having people to go with.
BUT I AM TAKING THE 7 HOUR TRIP GOING THIS WEEKEND to the game at Denver!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOO HOO!! Cant wait!!!! (after watching the ugliest game I have ever seen and why it cost me $500)
While living in Denver I got the pleasure of meeting Mean Joe Greene, Jack Ham, Bubby Brister, Chad Brown and Mike Webster about a year before he passed. Here in Wyoming I live 30 miles from Brett Keisel's hometown and I did live in Greybull where I went to the same grade school he did in the 70's and was good friends with his uncle.
Anyway, good to be here, GO STEELERS!!! Beat them Broncos!!!! (

Thanks guys, Santeesteel, where at in Denver? Do your niece and nephew work at the penitentiary? Last time I was through Rawlins was coming home from the Sunday night 2012 Broncos/Steelers season opener (where they lost). Good thing we have Boswell and not Walsh!!! GO STEELERS!!!:rawk:
ps forgot to mention my best friend from Denver who now lives in Phoenix, is a Bengals fan, he still talks about the 05 playoff game, wonder what he is thinking about last night, haven't heard anything from him yet.

My family is from Arvada. My niece is a Sherriff's deputy and her husband works at the prison. Quite a change from San Diego!

Welcome aboard!, lived in Denver/Greeley for 16 years. But worked a lot of the WY oil fields too. Met a carpenter from Greybull who was good friends with Keisel. Took a picture of him with my Terrible Towel so he could send it to Brett! We were out of the country at the time. Great guy and he said Keisel is the man. I agree!

Well, just got back from a great game (could have been a little better) and a fun weekend in Denver! Was worth every penny even with the loss, for all that happened this year, I am very proud of this team. The rest of the NFL better watch out next year for the Black and Gold if they can stay healthy and now hoping Peyton takes out Brady this year. Most of my pics didn't turn out very well so I am waiting for my brother to send me his. Here was my view of the game.

There were a lot more Steeler fans there than I expected. I have one question about the game I haven't been able to figure out yet, towards the end (actually right after this picture) Ben is about to be sacked and flips the ball backwards towards Gilbert I think, the Broncos pick it up and run it in. Why wasn't that a touchdown for Denver?
