“It’s definitely sore,” said Ben on his radio interview this morning. “I think it’s a little bit better than it was, but we’re still going to just take it day-by-day.”

He confirmed that he sprained his AC joint and said he tore some ligaments in his shoulder.

“I’ll go in tomorrow with the intent to see what I can do,” Roethlisberger said. “I honestly don’t know. I haven’t tried to throw a football since the game, and maybe that’s not even the right thing to do right away. I’ll see the doctors and trainers tomorrow, we’ll evaluate kind of how I feel. If anything, maybe I can practice and hand off and still get some mental reps that way. So we’ll really just kind of see how it goes tomorrow.”

"I'm going to do whatever I can to be out there, but not at the expense of my team."

Ben said he didn't think Burfict did anything dirty during the sack.

“I do not think it was a dirty hit,” Roethlisberger said. “I think he was playing the game… I know that there is some video of him supposedly kneeing me, or kicking me, or whatever, but I don’t think there was anything intentional.”

I think Ben is just taking the high road there, that knee was intentional, not doubt about it. Whether it added to the injury, who knows, probably most of it was caused from landing on it.

Agree, Ben being Ben. And you're right, you don't get a separated shoulder from someone pounding on it from the top - that came from the angular force of falling on the arm.

Not saying Burfict didn't *want* to harm Ben, just that I think the injury actually happened during the "legal" part of the sack.

Which is weird, because I once read that soft serve chocolate ice cream is his favorite.

Ben is taking a page out of " The Godfather " when talking about Burfict..... " Keep your friends close....but your enemies closer "...that way when Burfict ends up F-Upped....he can exsolve himself.

It's not good news, but it's not necessarily that bad. A sprain is tearing of ligaments.

They way he whipped the ball to Antonio, I can't see how he doesn't play?

I'm curious if he will need surgery in the offseason?

Yeah, hopefully a sprinkling of Ben-ism...talking up his injury to look like the hero when he tears up the Denver D. I'm not trying to stir up a Ben debate, you all know what I mean (I hope)...

I honestly do not recall. Was the throw he made to AB where AB got smoldered after Ben had hurt his shoulder?

I'm just writing this game off, thus meaning I can't be disappointed when we lose, but will be overjoyed if we win

Let's see, Burfict has injured (not hurt) Ben, AB and Bell this season, our three best players. But none of it was intentional targeting.

I'll bet that thug lays in bed at night thinking about ways to injure or maim an opponent without the refs noticing. :threaten:

How could you not recall? It was the last play of the game and one of the most talked about plays of the season?

“It didn’t hurt when I reached back to throw,” Roethlisberger said. “But it was pushing forward to throw and then the end of the throw. So I definitely felt like I was shortening up my motion up a little bit, which is why we threw some screens, and couldn’t really get the ball down the field… I think it just more affected how I could throw it.”

Smoke and mirrors, right? Why would Ben publicly state that he had/has problems throwing the ball down the field?
