It wasn't Willie. It was on Dupree for joining in.

    Taunting:

    1. (e) Two-or-more players engage in prolonged, excessive, premeditated, or choreographed celebrations.

Hmm. I'd tell her "sure, as long as you don't wear it when I'm next to you..."

The lack of discipline that should bother people the most is the lack of effective time management, people running out of bounds when they need to keep the clock running, delay of games, false starts, etc.

The lack of discipline it seems like many complain about is around "thuggery" and celebrations. Football is a thug game by nature. The fact that people occasionally boil over and do stupid things is not surprising. These dudes are jacked up on who knows what and have to come out day after day with an edge. Anyone who has played football understands it's not as simple as "keeping your head on". The problem is when the behavior because consistent like Burfict or Ndamokong Suh.

In terms of celebrations, this is where I really differ. This is an entertainment product. The fact that there is a penalty for two people dancing after a touchdown is ridiculous. I still can't believe that penalty counted after the actual play was overturned! Terrible.

Either way, I think this is a combination of A) people needing to take a stick out of their ass and B) recognizing that because we watched every single down of Steelers football that we are hyper conscious of this stuff even though most NFL fans probably feel the same about their team.

I wonder what that choir boy did to DeCastro to cause him to pancake him so heavily? Probably just told him a bible verse that he disagreed with...

Even if some here say that Porter deserved a 15 yard penalty along with Pacman's 15 yarder....thereby making it still a 50 yard FG attempt....please....go to the link below...go to the 11:20 mark in the video...and watch....tell me what you see...look at # 95

Bottom line, the refs did NOT try to win it for Pittsburgh...if they would have called that OBVIOUS penalty there...it still would have been a 35 yard FG attempt.

    PERIOD...END OF STORY!!

Damn...didn't work again...maybe someone can help me. Anyways, it clearly shows Wallace Gilberry with his helmet off...a BLACK LETTER RULE that says it is an automatic 15 yard penalty......NOT CALLED.

I'm really shocked that more deal wasn't made about Burfict swinging at our trainer. He's an old man and was trying to help Brown off the field. You see Burfict come in and shove the trainer in an attempt to pat Brown on the shoulder. The trainer doesn't see Burfect and basically gets shoved over...then Burfict swings at him and nearly hits him in the face or neck. That should have been 15 yards - no doubt about it.

Keep watching it...if you can get the link to work...didn't for me...but all through that situation Gilberry had his helmet off. I mean just look at when he came up from behind and shoved Porter...was his helmet off ?...YES! Thereby an automatic 15 yard penalty.

Ahh, right. 11:20 is a bit before that. Didn't realize you were talking about that situation. Video link works fine for me. Some youtube vids are restricted for embedded playback..

So you saw it ? And yet that is maybe the most obvious NFL Rule that there is..taking your helmet off on the field...and he was not called for it. And yet Cincy fans think they were screwed. Bottom line, even if Porter would have been called for a penalty....it still would have been the same 35 yard FG attempt if the Refs would have called Gilberry for his obvious Unsportsmen like penalty.

Then there was no need for you to quote me.
Yes, we were heavily penalized in that Cincy game but I think that some o the penalties came as a result of the refs trying to maintain "control" of the game and then also trying to keep it close. My main point was to illustrate that the Steelers aren't undisciplined despite people saying that they are.
I like the "look at me" dances and so do other fans, even if you don't. They don't call this the "no fun league" for no reason. If you actually look at the replay of the Gay's Fumble recovery (temporary)TD you can see the ref just standing there looking like a hawk for any reason to throw the flag. It's a joke. So far the penalties so there's really nothing to whine about. You can continue to cry about 2 celebration penalties but they aren't indicative of some lack of discipline regarding the whole team. That's the point. Like I've said, this Mike Timlin coached team is actually one of the most disciplined least penalized teams in the league. A celebration penalty or two doesn't change that.

If you go look in the game thread you will see that I was screaming about the helmet being off. Man that was SO obvious!

Of course. I've posted several screenshots, gifs, and vines of the incident over the past day or so. There was a lot of stuff that didn't get called. I'm not sure why the media is making Porter out to be the boogeyman here.

Good for you sir...nice catch...too bad the Refs did not see it, or that ANY Bengal fan I have asked on their Board even wants to acknowledge it.

It was during a prolonged injury timeout. I'm pretty sure the "helmet must stay on" rule doesn't apply in those instances.

I also like how they are saying he was talking trash. Really? Didn't look like he was saying much anything, possibly after he was corralled by a bunch of punks acting like they were in a gang. Even then, I don't think he was.

Or is it because Jones said he was? Yeah, thats a stand up guy you can believe

That was impressive, that the team's MVP (in past years) is being treated on the field, but the Steeler's coaches got all of their players well away from that spot.

Which makes it curious why a dozen Bengal players were grouped around and hassling the trainers.
Lewis should have got them in a huddle on the sideline to get ready for the next play.

Yup, the same guy that said AB winked at him as AB was being helped off the field. I've seen the replay like 10 times and AB makes no movement to even look at the toolbag, just keeps looking straight ahead. Unless AB has the magical ability to rotate his head without having his helmet move with it, it would've been nearly impossible for that scenario to play out as Pacman claims.

Oh I was talking about the time that Nelson took his helmet off when the Munch thing happened. He took it off right there on the field and they still didn't do anything. I must have just assumed that's what you were talking about.

It should have been excessive celebration the moment the SECOND Bengal entered the tunnel. Haha!
