Does Caldwell really have the offensive background to be a serious contender? Really just looked at him as being a caretaker as the Colts head coach. Also, can't imagine a less animated trio of coaches than Tomlin, Lebeau, and Caldwell.

If the O line problems aren't addressed it won't matter who the new coordinator is.

Jim Caldwell interviewing for OC position.

The rumor is starting to circulate around the league that Mike Tomlin and the Steelers are talking with Jim Caldwell about the possibility of him becoming the next Steelers offensive coordinator.

This is pure **rumor**, but I have heard it from many people including a friend who works at the Indianapolis Star.

It is very interesting that Ariens is taking over the Colt's offense, and Caldwell might be taking over the Steelers'.

I think that Caldwell would work very well with the Steelers. He is calm and collected and that seems to be a good fit with the team.

It seems as if the Steelers brass want to rebuild the offense, as they dont seem to be planning on promoting from within.

I was thinking of the Rooney rule, but I think that only applies to head coaching openings

I'm fine with interviewing the guy, but I hope he isn't our next OC. Just doesn't seem to fit with what Art II suggests our offense become. Hue Jackson seems to be the most likely fit and I hope he lands an interview.

I want the Rooney's to just hire the guy and soon. I don't want the best best options to get signed away by other teams. ya know, like the stupid chargers brass did when they picked up Norv Turner late in the off season and keep him around to save face. How you can make someone leave without having your next hire right there ASAP is crazy to me.
