The Pro Bowl is a joke. I haven't watched it for at least 5 years.

On ProBowl day, I always have the TV on with the ProBowl playing in the background and kind of watch it while I'm doing other things, but I can't say I've ever really been excited about it, even with the Steelers having some starters.

I think every pro sport should do what the NHL is doing and pick all the players like gym class dodge ball. Since it's just for fun why not.

Never been really "excited" about it.
It`s cool to watch some of our players in it. At least, before they moved it to BEFORE the superbowl, since then, it`s just a reminder that we aren`t in the big game. :(
I was gonna say, it used to be the last chance to watch a football game, before the offseason, but with the watered down rules, it`s not even really a football game.
Unfortunately, that may be a preview of what "real" football games are gonna become, with another 6 years of Goodell...
    :(

Wow, is there a full moon? Scott and I agree again?!?!

I think they shoud just name the players, forget about the game, and move along. With all the special rules, if they feel like they have to play they should just make it a flag football game.

I think the last time I actually watched was when Hines took the on-side kick for a TD!

Not at all. They should make a rule that everyone that is picked to be a starter should play. They all bale out because of "injuries" which makes it a joke. I bet if those that say they are "injured" was going to the superbowl they would play.

And move it to after the superbowl.

What should they do to the starters who don't play? Put them in jail? If the 'honor' of being selected to the Pro Bowl isn't enough to make you want to play, heck, that's their choice. I can't blame a player for not wanting to play in a BS game. Think of it like the 4th Preason game, in fact, the Pro Bowl is even less important than that.

Personally, if they played the Pro Bowl in my backyard, I'd pull the curtains. I've felt this way for at least 10 years. Before the SB, After the SB, middle of March, I'd feel the same way. Not the least bit inerested.

As a fan, I have no interest in the pro-bowl anymore. If I were a player, you betcha I'd be interested. To get paid extra to go on vacation in Hawaii? I'm there.

You mean a player would try harder to play for one of the most coveted titles in pro sports than they would to play in a meaningless game? GET OUT!

    :swoon:

The Pro Bowl is Pathetic. It's even worse since Gooddell put his stamp on it and made it the week before the Superbowl where the best of the best (SB Contending) players won't even be included. Won't watch 2 minutes of it but will be hoping for an injury free day for Steelers participants and injuries to all others.

Winter X Games is where its at this weekend for my sports fix.

I went to a couple of Pro Bowls in the early 90's and it's awesome to see all the stars on one field, especially if you're sitting close but on TV not so much.

The football season ended for me 3 weeks ago. Tomorrow sounds like a good day to go put a few hundred rounds downrange after church.
