So, what do you guys think of Tomlin Now!!!

And PLEASE don't Insult my Intelligence and say this loss was NOT on him....cause it was. Forget the Ben Injury...after that, he totally went away from the short area Defense that was bothering McCarron all game long and let him just drive down the field in the 4th. But...Live by the 2 Pt conversion...DIE by it. I KNEW when he went for that 2Pt try it was a mistake. Look, there were a lot of other factors yes. But in the end...Tomlin lost this game to a totally beat up Bengals team with a Rookie QB in his first playoff game. But why Rant...I mean it's not like the little Hommie is gonna ever lose his job.

 

I am not one to defend Tomlin but the two pointer pribably didn't matter because then Cincy woukd have kicked the XP to go uo 17-16.

 

I'm guessing premature has been a theme throughout your life.

 

Three things are facts from tonight:

1 - We won.
2 - The Bengals are thugs.
3 - We won.

I am actually mad at Haley that 3rd. and 18 from deep in your own end with a 15 point lead screamed just call a safe play.....If ever there was a time to just run a draw or quick swing pass or a TE screen it was then ... I fault the play call for Ben getting busted up , very poor decision from where I sit..

 

Agreed. If ever we needed that failed delayed draw, it was there.

 

I honestly don't know who to be the maddest at. Haley is high up there though.

 

But is this a case of "winning a battle to lose a war"? I feel like the whole coaching staff should be fair game tonight. We did some REALLY questionable AT BEST stuff. The one thing I WILL say is that I'm glad I got my way when we got James Saxon. He has been an unsung hero in my opinion. If not for his unit tonight I say we lose this game for sure.

 

I have major beef with the 2pt tries... it has caused us more trouble than its worth.

 

How about Butler - he's got to get some credit for this one.

I could be just that. But you know what we won, the bungles got knocked out of the playoffs, and we are at least still in the race for #7. Let's wait and see if Ben and AB come around before Sunday. It's an unbelievable win and I'm still in shock.

The playoff monkey is off his back now. We hadn't won a playoff game in too long for Steeler standards, and we got the job done today (on the road against a division rival too).

If you want Tomlin gone, this win was a big blow to that agenda. We won the division last year and won a road playoff game so far this year. Hopefully there's more to follow
