Turns out that Tom Donahue is in charge there now and he and Haleys dad are friends. Hmm :hmm:

I think Philly is a more intriguing opportunity for Haley than Miami.

Just read that Duce Staley has interviewed with the Eagles. At least we know he looks good in sweats on the sidelines.

I could see Haley "fitting" in Philly, at least better than Miami. But I wonder if HC is on his agenda just at the moment.

Duce coached with Andy Reid and has been on Kell's staff.

Philly is trying to get Cowher

I think Haley is more ready now than he was his first go around as a head coach and, IMHO, will become a very good head coach in the NFL. I'd like to see him get a shot with the Steelers and think he'd be a great fit here. Of course that's not going to happen unless Tomlin goes 4-12 the next five years and by that time the coordinators will be long gone.

Staley has been with the Eagles for sometime. Kelly threw him under the bus at least once this season when they asked why he stopped feeding Mathews the ball when he was having an awesome game. I would assume he is trying to stay with the coaching staff in some capacity

That's one thing that bugs me about the Rooney Rule and I just wonder how many minority candidates who are interviewed each season come away feeling as though they are the "token" minority interview and are not being seriously considered for the position. Are we beyond that now? If you can coach, you can coach it doesn't matter if you're black, brown, green, red, yellow or white.

I wonder that too, I think he really wants to finish what he started here, get a ring but he has no control over the other side of the ball, so who knows how long it will take to get the defense up to snuff.

With Donahue and his dad being friends, that has to offer a level of security for him, knows he wont be on a short leash and will get ample opportunity to build a winner.

It would definitely be an intriguing roster to play with I mean there are some pieces there and Bradford might be a more pocket type QB that Haley looks for. They would need some WR's though. Defensive side of the ball they have some playmakers just need to get the right system in place

The Eagles certainly aren't risk averse, which would also suit Haley's style.

If he did go, we could promote Carnell Lake. He seems to produce great numbers for offenses.

I could see Philly as a pretty logical landing spot for him should he throw his hat into the ring.

I really hope coach Haley is going nowhere: from My POV, he's our next HC in the waiting.

However, if for some reason he's hired anywhere else as a HC, Will it be Munchak's offense now?

Well given that coaching in itself is an ego-centric position, I would say *most* people would jump at the chance of being an HC, ready or not. So I would say if the offer was right, he'll go.
