green bay won it all last year and they've got statues of lambeau and lombardi outside their stadium.

boston bruins won it all last year and they've got a statue of bobby orr's famous diving play outside of the new 'gahdun.'

the cardinals won it all last year in baseball and, from what i recall, they have several statues outside of the new busch (musial, hornsby, feller, ozzie, etc).

auburn won it all last year and they've commissioned statues to be built for bo jackson and cam newton.

    maybe we need MORE statues . . . ?

Speaking about how Chuck Noll spells his name, I always knew it was Noll and not Knoll, but there was a thread about him awhile back here, and SO many people spelled it Knoll, that I was convinced I must have been wrong all these years and looked it up.

I LOVE the Wanderer`s idea about all our HOF`ers lined up either in front, or somewhere leading into the Great Hall!!!
One of my favorite pictures, is of me decked out in Black-n-Gold, with my arm around the Chief`s shoulders.(The statue).
Just think how many fans could have awesome pictures taken by their favorite players` statues...
That would be nothing short of AWESOME!!!!
Not to mention, it would just look cool as hell at the Stadium, and highlight our deep roots, and Tradition of Excellence!
(Hope that`s not another catch phrase I borrowed from the Raiders, like "Just Win, Baby", because it captures our spirit as well)
(Or "Steeler Nation", because I`m not sure if "Raider Nation", or Steeler Nation, came first... but I know which has more members... ;))

What Heinz Field is missing is atmosphere. As I said in my Three Rivers thread, the stadium lacks that closed-in deafening roar that Three Rivers provided. I wish that the seats they were adding at Heinz Field filled in a good portion of the open end, but I know 3,000 seats is just going to be a drop in the bucket and probably won't go anymore than 30 feet or so above the ground level. If they filled in the open end zone, the noise level would be so much higher and more intimidating for the opposing team.
