Seems like we're always comparing Roethlisberger to everyone. There is always a new clown every week ....Eli to some is now better than Ben. Let's start comparing our overated WR core to everyone...

    I take Nicks/Cruz over Wallace/Brown....

Unless Wallace can learn how to go up and make a play on the ball, I would agree.

I would agree - EXCEPT - Wallace/Brown have 3 total years of NFL experience between them. Seems like they have the potential to be a legendary tandem if they can stay together.

Wallace/Brown, but it's close. If Wallace can start catching with his hands (which will help him go up to get balls), then it's Wallace/Brown, in a walk.

Wallace/Brown no doubt. Nicks and Cruz are playing very well.I just think skies the limit for our boys.

Nicks has 3 and Cruz only 2 years. But I hate to say it Nicks/Cruz (and even throw in Manningham) is who I would pick right now. However they are different kinds of WRs, but still.

    :this!:

Brown is getting crazy good, and only has one year of playing time under his belt. No one is a deep threat like Wallace (if only the QB could hit him more often...). And if you guys are irked by Wallace, you must not have seen a lot of Cruz this season. Great player, but he made more silly/wimpy mistakes this year than Wallace has in his career.

Nicks and Cruz are both possession type receivers, kind of in the Hines Ward mold. If Hines truly is done, we could use one of those type of players on the team to balance our WR core out.

Sanders, Wallace, Brown is more like the always go deep guys during the Rams "greatest show on turf" days.

They are both faster than Ward ever was, and Cruz is very fast. I'd say he's right up there with Sanders and Brown, and is definitely a deep threat.

Cruz ain't no possession reciever. He gets down field extremely well, and catches everthing.

Not even close???? Which pair caught more passes for more yds and more TDs?? Hint: They don't where B&G.
I know its all Arians fault. If only Wallace and Brown were coached by a genius like Kevin Gilbride.

That is why I would name him a possession receiver, he does catch everything just like Hines. Cruz has become a go to 3rd down target on that team to move the chains.

I'd take Brown over any of the four. But if it's a package deal, I may have to think about it. I have some serious reservations about Wallace after his pitiful second half.

I would rate them as follows:

    1. Antonio Brown, most complete player of all of them!
    2. VIctor Cruz
    3. Mike Wallace, speed you can't teach, needs to get better at fighting for the ball
    4. Hakeem Nicks, very good, nice size, but easiest of the group to take away

Honestly, my order at Receiver mart would be, 2 Antonio's and 1 Victor please, with a Mike Wallace for my number 4

No way.... I agree with earlier poster....Nick/Cruz easily.

If you have any other fan base vote I bet they rank them
Nicks Has size and those hands!
Wallace (for hearing every week the "fastest guy in league bla bla")
    Brown
    Cruz

    My opinion

    Nicks
    Brown/ Cruz Tie
    Wallace

Now I hate to say, with Eli throwing deep ball to Wallace you could very well be putting him at the top. (IMO Ben throws terrible deep ball)

I agree with this. It seems a lot of times that Ben waits to actually see separation by Mike from the CB before he throws it. The bonafide elite QB's always seem to anticipate that separation and throw the ball a lot sooner than Ben does. Ben can zing it, that's for sure, he just needs to trust his routes and reads and let it rip a little sooner sometimes.

The hate for Wallace some people seem to have is mind-boggling. What a couple of people have said is correct. If we had a QB that could throw the deep ball (I love Ben as a player, but he could NEVER throw a decent deep ball consistently), Wallace would be atop this list, and it would not even be close.

nicks and cruz, at this point, are far and away the better tandem. nicks is a huge body who catches everything and is invaluable in that red zone everyone here loves so much (and blames arians for - regardless of the fact we have ZERO red zone targets (regardless of the unwarranted hype everyone wants to throw our skills players direction) and a quarterback who doesn't have the skill sets to play in tight spaces) and cruz has speed and the guy simply makes plays.

Snack, the same can be said for the love that some people have for Wallace. He was miserable the second half of the year. He seemed to be playing scared. There were several instances when Ben threw him the deep ball and he simply gave up on it. The truly great (or even very good) receivers fight for the ball when it's in the air. Wallace does not do this. I thought he was developing into more than a "one-trick pony" but I don't think anyone can argue that he regressed significantly the second half of the season.
