Anyone who believes BB threw the game has never played sports at any real level. He would instantly lose the team if he did that. The season would be over because they wouldn't play for him. You don't throw games when you're playing for home field advantage in the playoffs. It's beyond ridiculous

I like a good conspiracy theory, but Darth Hoodie throwing the game because of the Steelers? It doesn't make any sense. The call was stupid whatever the reason, but it had absolutely nothing to do with us.

I don't believe in conspiracy... yet! But Do they do that all the time in overtime? Seems like a dumb move to me.

It can go any way. Both ways you are relying on a defensive stop so why not take the ball and the shot at points you aren't guaranteed. There's a reason EVERYONE receives. He did this in an attempt to throw the game and now everybody is considering it.

They don't do it all the time. They did it once before.

I don't know that they do it all the time. They do it to start the game if they have the choice.
They're saying on NFL channel that the Patriots player messed up and said they wanted to kick in a certain direction and the ref took it as the wanted to defer. The playey even semi argues with the ref afterwards, but it's too late.

They're going to have traded a 5th for a one year rental because there is no way they re-sign Boykin after sitting him on the bench this much.

That really hurt Boykin's earning potential in a contract year.

You'd have to be relevant before anybody would do something because of you....don't think we're quite there....

Um. Let's see. Would I rather play a team that had just taken me to overtime and won or would I rather play the 31st ranked defense when I have the greatest qb that has maybe ever played? To say they threw the game is just dumb. There's not a qb in this league that fears this defense and that's what's so frustrating to watch because we've been used to defenses that have given qb's nightmares. This defense gives qb's daydreams about how glorious they will look playing against it. Mallet will probably throw 83 picks next week.

Belichick is 7-3 vs. the Steelers and 22-10 vs. the Jets so historically BB has a similar record vs both teams.

I think NYJ are a better playoff team because when the eeather gets cold the Steelers passing attack will suffer.

Brady is a freak in cold weather and wins a shootout 9 times out of 10.

Steelers are more talented than the Jets but not enough so that playing one over the other in cold weather is advantageous.

But we would be better off with the Golden Girls than EITHER of them. As a matter of fact, I might just start calling our secondary the Golden Girls.

Two of the most competitive people in the sport, Brady and BB threw a game on purpose so they wouldn't have to face a team they have owned.

Things that make you go hmmm.

We need to get Woodward and Bernstein on the case. This is clearly the new Watergate. I can just see Bill and Tom like Mr. Burns and Smithers concocting this master plan and then when Bill gets done explaining it to Tom he just drops him through a trap door in his office.

The team that nobody wants to see in the AFC playoffs is only 6-5 against all the AfC teams they played so far.

Earlier, I was listening to the TV & posting on here. They talked about New England doing this before... Several times. I misheard, they did it twice this season, once vs the Broncos.
Still though.... It's absolutely ridiculous to think they blew this game so we wouldn't make it into the playoffs. Tomlin has NEVER beat the Patriots in Gillette Stadium. The Jets did in 2011 in the playoffs. Also, the way we played today isn't going to scare anyone, especially the Patriots

    Right.
I believe that if we make the playoffs that we can beat anyone, but the Patriots aren't throwing games and risking home field advantage to attempt to keep the Steelers out of the playoffs. Besides they can't control what happens next week and whether or not we make the playoffs. Silly stuff.

I agree this is stupid, the Patriots have no reason to fear playing the Steelers in the playoffs.

Hey, that's offensive to Sophia, Blanche, Rose, & especially Dorothy.
She was pretty tough. She definitely coulda covered better than Blake.
