Seen them in a heated exchange on the sideline.
Anyone have any insight on what might have happened?

Yea, they just got burned by Sanders for a loooooooooooooooooooong TD. The secondary was complete garbage the first half. The expression on Butlers face was priceless.

Common theme with this secondary, blown coverages.

On that play Gay and Blake both blitzed. I think Gay was not suppose to blitz because that left not enough of defensive backs and left Shazier on an island trying to cover 2 wide receivers. Saunders was on the side that Gay was lined up on and left Saunders all by himself.

I don't know if it was the same play, but after a touchdown, Gay was pissed at Blake On the sidelines. I was at the game. Gay was very unhappy. On the next touchdown they got, he was equally pissed.

    I did like the emotion.

I was at the game and watched him. He want happy.

Somebody screwed up, that's for sure. Not really sure who tho. I would say that Shazier had his best day in coverage today (unless of course that long TD was his fault). Let's hope some of what he did continues into the rest of the season.

Regardless of who blew the coverage, at the very least bumping Sanders at the LOS could've help a little ...you think??

they got it corrected in the 2nd half and Sanders basically went away.

For all we despair of the secondary, a lot of our problems are coming off blown coverages rather than ability.

Ability is still an issue as well, obvs.

Again blown coverage was the culprit for the exchange..If the team could cover / tackle and follow assignments they would be relentless.

3rd an 6 and your PLAYING 10 yards off the ball? The soft coverage which reminded me of LeBeau preventing the big play went away in the 2nd half. Man up, zone doesn't work in todays NFL. And as soft as they played in the 1st half, they shut the door in the 2nd. Boykin needs to start and keep Blake off the field only in special teams and dime situations. How much more proof do you need to see Tomlin and Butler?
