It's apparent that Steelers could use the secondary help, too many missed talked today and that's what lead to our downfall. If we do end up not getting to the playoffs and also get a good first round pick, we'll need to go for Vernon Hargreaves. Anyone better or like him would fit well for Pittsburgh.

There will be other good secondary players for example Jalen Ramsey, the Steelers don't value the secondary that much they will probably draft another OLB in the first round.

It's quite possible both Hargreaves and Ramsey are gone in the top-10. Wouldn't be surprised if we miss out on a 1st round DB again unless we ignore a clear BPA and stretch a little for need.

Jayron Kearse would be a better pick in my book but he isn't first rounder.

Hope I'm not letting the cat out of the bag but, I heard USC LB/S Su'a Cravens is is strong possibility, if he still available when we pick. Good frame, speed and stats. One issue would be comparisons to Troy. Allen and Golden are FA next year and Shamarko is close to being classified as a bust, safety may be more of a need than CB. I see us trying to keep Willie Gay and open the door and let Blake walk. Not sure how Boykin situation ( FA too ) will play out. Gay, Cockrell, Golston, Cortez, Grant, Boykin would be a start for next season. This coming is supposed to be deep in CB's. Between the draft and FA we should be able to come up with 2-3 more viable options. Hell, Norman was a 5th rounder, maybe we could even get lucky.

Corner is pretty deep in this draft, smaller schools are well represented in this draft with taller 6-1 6-2 corners, like Bradberry from samford...

    • [IMG] James Bradberry*, CB, Samford
      Height: 6-1. Weight: 213.
      Projected 40 Time: 4.47.
      Projected Round (2016): 2-3.
12/12/15: Last year, Jaquiski Tartt represented Samford at the Senior Bowl, and this year, it will be Bradberry. He has a great skill set with size and speed. The senior recorded 45 tackles with 11 passes broken up and two interceptions in 2015. He had two interceptions in his junior, sophomore and freshman years. His steady play earned him an invitation to Mobile, and if he performs well against the better competition his stock could really sky rocket given his skill set. Bradberry has prototypical size for the next level.
    Heres another small school corner:

    Deiondre' Hall, CB, Northern Iowa
    Height: 6-2. Weight: 190.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.53.
    Projected Round (2016): 2-4.
12/12/15: Hall has excellent size to be an NFL cornerback and will be playing at the Senior Bowl. He really stood out for Northern Iowa as he had six interceptions as a senior. Nothern Iowa didn't play a top program in 2015, so performing well against more talented receivers is critical for Hall. Earning a Senior Bowl invite speaks well for him.

I agree, and really like Sanchez. Reminds me of Mathieu from the Cardinals. A smaller guy that can ball.

One of the guys on ESPN - maybe Kiper - did a mock recently and had us taking the next Fuller out of Va Tech. I haven't done any film yet, but based on just watching games this fall I like that thought.

Tyler Boyd made Kendall Fuller look so bad!!

Sanchez is lazy.. takes plays off and at times looks scared to tackle.

I really like Jeremy Cash, Miles Killebrew and William Jackson III he truly is an EXCELLENT CB!

Had a chance to take a look at some film of Su'a and Jeremy Cash; wow, they look like Steelers safeties. Making plays in the run game, being very active all over the field, making plays in the passing game. If we can't get Cravens round 1, I would be thrilled with BPA (CB, OLB, or TE) in the 1st and Cash in the 2nd.

Eli Apple in the 1st and Jeremy Cash in the 2nd round would be a home run.

Tyler Boyd can make a lot of people look bad, just another Pitt Panther that will make it BIG.

Not too burst your bubble, but does Ricardo Colkley sp jog your memory? Small college players must dominate
games/conferences they play in, can they transfer these talents to the NFL where everybody can play not just 2 or 3 guys in the conference?

I think so, I've recently read that he plays a little wild so it's probably him.

I really like Apple. Of all the top end buckeye players, I think he is the best. Take a look at Nick Vannett, Buckeye TE. He is huge and can really block well. Has a good knack for getting open and has good hands too. Would love to get him in round 3 or 4 if we can. Vonn Bell is okay. Adolphus Washington would be a good fit too, but he will go too early for us to draft a DL.

Kearse is worth the risk reward in the 3rd or 4th round, he is a big 6-4 220 pound safety in the mold of cam chancellor, he has NFL bloodlines and needs coached up but I like his potential...
