He says the players and Tomlin were wrong not to shake hands with Burffict after the game today.
He's been going on and on about it on cooler talk. Says it's just a game and the Steelers players were unsportsmanlike.

Burffict tried hurting a player 3-4 times today, why would anybody want to shake his hand?

I bet if he would have got Bens knee on that one play that Batch would be playing a different tune.

Good question. I normally agree with Batch, but he's way off base on this.

On the one hand, Burfict was playing it like an old school rivalry. Fair dos.

On the other hand, he was being a bit of a dick. I'm surprised the refs didn't have a word with Lewis at some point about it. He seemed to be going after players at the end of every single play.

He was also kicking off before the game. He had made no move towards looking like he wanted to shake anyone's hand for the entire pregame and game - I'm not surprised there was no queue of Steelers players waiting to say "great game" to him at the end.

I think this year the title of "NFL`s Biggest Rivalry" has changed from Ravens/Steelers to Steelers/Bengals.

Burfict is a punk who plays dirty, tried to hit Ben in the knees no need to shake his hand.

55 is a piece of sht of epic proportions. He will be in jail when he is done. And I hope he rots there. He is an awful human being and always has been. Since his days at ASU, and I went to ASU.

I can see if players don't want to, but Tomlin needs to take the higher road and look past that.

Is Burfict a "criminal"? No, I doubt that. He seems immature, and seems to rub people the wrong way, even his own teammates... but he is a good football player.

He's lucky one of the Steelers players didn't punch him in the throat. Charlie's wrong on this one. I sure liked watching Batch more on the football field than listening to him in the radio. I had to turn him off today.

I just saw a replay of 2 Begnals going at Ben's knees after a throw.

I don't really agree with Tomlin having to take the high road ,that pos tried hurting one of his guys on more than one occasion, why does he owe him respect. He went after Bens knees and Batch should STFU ,period.

Well, it's not like they didn't shake hands with any of the Bengals. This isn't hockey (they only do it after playoff series wins) or little league. These guys are getting paid to go at it for 60 minutes and when one guy is perceived to be taking some cheap shots, then they're not obligated to go "find" him after the game for a handshake.

Hell, doing that might have caused another fight just like with Sherman.

I don't care what Batch says. Glad they didn't, I was a little miffed when some players shook Blounts hand and Burfict is way worse. Keep in mind, the Steelers and obviously Tomlin too, believes Burfict was laughing after Bell got hurt, that in itself is enough reason for them not to shake his hand and that doesn't even include today.

He's a punk, let him earn respect.

Yeah, I like how serious he is about the rivalry but he was crossing the line. I honestly think Lewis saw how reckless he was being especially after going late and low on Ben and made him sit. He got taken out a few plays. Not sure if it was for injury or that.

A big loogee in each hand would have been appropriate to shake his hand with.

I remember Haley refusing to shake hands when he was at K.C.

I'm glad Tomlin and his team stood their ground today against the bully. If anyone was exhibiting unsportsmanlike behavior, it was Burfict. No complaints from me on them not shaking Burfict's hand. I wish they woulda kicked him in the beans.

I welcome his taunting and attempts at bullying with fully open arms. The more you pizz off the Pittsburgh Steelers, the better they play. Hence, the team put up over 30 points on the #1 D coming into this game... in "their" stadium !

Far more troubling is that no one had the balls to put his punk ass in the hospital or out of the game for good.

No way do we shake hands with that fragile piece of s**t. Hell he spent more time in the locker room than in the game so I have no idea why he was being such an arrogant punk...

Sorry, I hate when players are sore losers and act in an unsportsmanlike way, but Jerk-fict is a thug and there's no way I think anyone should have shook his hand after his unsportsmanlike behavior.
