On this day last year.....

I was at the AFC Championship at Heinz field watching our beloved Steelers beat the Jets! It was freezing cold, but that didn't matter. It was an awesome game and atmosphere. For those of you who have never had the privilege of going to a game like that, I highly recommend it. There's nothing like leaving the stadium after a game like that and singing, "Here we go Steelers, here we go, Pittsburgh's going to the superbowl" with a bunch of Steeler fans....and then high fiving everyone in the street as you walk home. Closest thing I will ever get to going to a superbowl and I enjoyed every minute of it! So, I'm sitting here in my Steeler's jersey a little depressed today...thinking about what might have been. Here's to next year's AFC championship. If the Steeler's are in it, I plan to be there!

 

Yep. I remember back in the AFCCG before they went to SB XL doing the same thing. Paid a bit much for the ticket but a moment I will cherish forever!

 

In Denver??

Me too, came all the way from Vermont. The OP is absolutely correct in the feeling he describes, although I can imagine there was a lot of relief involved at the end of last year's game since they nearly blew a huge lead.

 

This day 6 years ago Kobe Bryant dropped 81 points...

 

I was suppose to be there last yr against the Ratbirds and 2 of the guys going backed out at the last minute. Should ve still went, Im still kicking myself.
