I think this will been fun. The Ravens lost again today. I thought damn, what is wrong with them? To my knowledge they have had Flacco all year and have one of the worst records in the nfl.
Now I know one of those was a win against a vick lead steelers team, but I have a question.
For years people have said, oh the Ravens kill us in the draft, they coach so much better than us, and my personal favorite. I would take their coach over ours.
We have a new defensive coord, have played 3 qbs, lost our best back to suspension and injury., lost our starting center, and had 4 kickers. We are 2 games over .500.
I am sorry but I don't know if any other teams could do that.

I am gonna give some props to coach t, colbert, and organization ad a whole.
I think we are alot better than us as fans realize
I would also add one of the toughest schedules in the league

I agree with you on all points. While we do have some issues in terms of clock management and a weakish secondary, overall we have a lot of top end talent in both the skill positions and in the trenches. We have also shown that we are a very deep team as well. Hate on Tomlin of you want (he has his flaws), but overall we are a very well coached team in every area too. I guess some people will never be happy. We aren't perfect, but we've reloaded this roster into a competitor in a very short time. Impressive work.

It's not a surprise to me that the Ravens aren't good. I didn't expect a 2-7 meltdown (and it could easily be worse), but when you have no stud skill position players and a horrible secondary... You're not going to win very many football games. Flacco isn't and will never be good enough to carry a team by himself. These next few drafts will be very important for Ozzie and Harbaugh. If they can't get some top end talent to the skill positions they will suck for a while.

They've done what Pittsburgh did to Kordell. They've taken Flacco's familiarity with his offensive weapons away from him one at a time and are trying to force some guys into that role.

Granted the TE has been injured and they've attempted to find replacements. Rice was his check-down game breaker and he's gone for other reasons as well.

He just doesn't have his receivers in tune with him for his patented chunk-it-up and get the call play!

An article the other day said that we were literally the most injury effected team in the league.

Its funny because we flame Colbert for not being able to draft CB's, but Newsome has been equally as bad at drafting WR's during his history as GM.

Ravens are just having a down year... it happens form time to time... I'm kind of scared who they are gonna be able to get in the draft though because they may have a top 5 pick when it is all said and done.

The Ravens look like they will get a top five draft pick, not worried about them it will take them a few years to challenge for the division. The Ravens will share the bottom of the division with the Browns.

I wouldn't count the Ravens out next year... they still have a decent line on both sides of the ball, and they have a QB... they just need a few offensive weapons, and a pass rusher. They are really missing Suggs this year. 1 great draft and an active offseason in FA could change things real fast.

I'm curious how Flacco's contract renegotiation will go next year.
His 2016 cap hit goes from $14.5M to $28.5M.
The Ravens will want to make most of that go away. The question is how much Flacco's agent will dig in his heels.

(Edit: Noticed that SteelerJJ posted the same thing while I was writing this up.)

This years Ravens team is really no different then previous years so why such a big dropoff? They aren't getting carried by the refs and favorable calls anymore. Flacco stops getting PI for every under thrown ball and just look at this weekend.. No call on Dumervil and they win. A few calls here and there and they are 5-4. They aren't getting the calls anymore because they are being punished for starting deflategate. Colts owner is a druggie, you can't trust them with information. Ravens accidentally slipped up and invited the drunk relative to Thanksgiving dinner.

Not so sure I buy into the whole conspiracy theory of why they are not getting calls etc. They have lost every close game except for the Steeler game. They are an average team that right now is finding ways to lose more than finding ways to win. I will take our front office, our coaching staff and our owners over theirs any day of the week. Each team seems to have a weak point in terms of the draft but you are seeing how good KC really is because we never truly fall out of playoff contention.

The Ravens season is over, outside of playing spoiler to the Steelers and other playoff hopeful teams.

Well honestly this is more tame than I thought it would be.lol
Where are the people who blast us every year for not drafting as good as the Ravens? The guys who would take hairball over Tomlin any day?
I was hoping some of them would post that they might have seen the light. In other words , I was picking a fight.lol

The Ravens would be 1-8 had Ben or Landry Jones been playing or if Boswell would have been the kicker a week earlier.
