He thinks he still plays for the Ravens and wants to do everything possible to hurt the Steelers!

We could have just cut Archer and replaced him with a stick and seen better results.

I heard somewhere Archer was actually rank 10th as a returner in terms of average?.... A little surprising, but I guess I'll take it.

If anything let Wheaton return, he's actually pretty good at it.

Just keep causing and recovering turnovers when on D and hold opponents scoreless and we'll only have to worry about it once a game. Even Harrison could outplay both Archer and Jones.

I agree. Put Wheaton or Todman back there.

Did anyone expect more from Jones? He was cut from a team with 2 wins... Think about it.

Last week he was fine catching the ball- he just couldn't do anything with it because of the blocking. Now all of a sudden he can't catch?
I don't know if he's unhappy with being a Steeler, if he's unhappy with his role on our team, or if he's unhappy because he has no blockers to help him. Maybe he wasn't happy with the Chargers either.

As frustrating as the drops in the end zone were, they are still better than seeing Archer run it out to get tackled at the 11. The drop on the fair catch was inexcusable.

The blocking is almost non existent on every return. I know most teams feel that their special teams are the worst in the league, but the Steelers' return unit has been bad for years and years...or so it seems.

Something is up with Archer. He turned down teams for practice squad opportunities and no one has signed him.

Have no idea why the Steelers signed Jones. It was one thing to cut Archer but Jones sucked in SD, why bring him in? I knew he was going to suck.

Id rather have Archer than let this ex Raven hurt us in some way.

I don't know if he's doing this on purpose or not. The more I think about it, I think he was frustrated. He wasn't able to take one out of the endzone today. That doesn't excuse the drops, but I don't see us just getting rid of him after 2 weeks- especially since last week wasn't his fault. We could have a great return man, Devin Hester in his prime, & it's not gonna matter if no one blocks for him.
I still like Jacoby better than Dri though. Jacoby is a lot more return smart (yes I made that up) than Dri. Jacoby knows when to take a knee & when to TRY & bring it out.

What does everyone feel about Danny Smith? When he first came here I was excited because I knew he had a good reputation and track record, but I never felt he has really made the kind of impact I thought he would?

Half the time good special teams has a lot to do with the depth of your team so maybe the guys he has to work with are the problem?
