Is this a must win on Sunday ?

All I keep hearing is if we lose Sunday we probably wont make the Playoffs. I thought the Raiders game was move of a must win since they are a team we will be competing with for a playoff spot.

 

I don't think it's an absolutely, 100%, must win to have any remote chance of making the playoffs based on the other records in the AFC, but I'd say it's pretty important to get a win this Sunday to keep from making the chance of getting a WC spot slimmer.

 

If we lose at home to the clowns then we don't deserv to be in the playoffs

The only game that isn't a 'must win' game is one 'after' you have locked home field advantage in the playoffs. Any line of thought other than that is pointless.

 

I'd say it's pretty much a must win due to the fact that it's at home against a team we should beat and we are better than.
We need it because the Bills and Jets are right there with us as far as record goes.
We also need to wins against AFC teams, badly.

 

We got the help we needed with the Bills beating the Jets. Can we lose the game and still make the playoffs? Sure. I'd say it's a really important game tho. They all are

 

I think winning certainly helps, but if they did lose it probably wouldn't be the end of the season, at least not yet.
That being said, do you want to go into the bye week having to stew for two weeks about losing to the Clowns, at home? Yeah, me neither.

Its an AFC game so YES!

We need to keep on winning, our competition might be more than the Raiders or Jets... what if KC gets on a roll, they hold the tiebreaker on us.

 

I think it is. I think all the remaining AFC games are must wins until the other WC contenders stack up 4+ AFC losses.

 

Definitely a must win! With 6 games left and a brutal schedule we need to win this one. This is not gonna be an easy game just because it's the Browns. They have played well in most games, and have been competitive as well.

Why do we have the same dumb post from the same dumb poster almost every week asking if this weeks game is a must win? ITS A MUST WIN EVERY WEEK!! Starting week one. You only play 16 games. EVERY ONE COUNTS!!

Yes, they are an NFL team, Blah blah blah...

But, they suck, and have sucked since they have come back into the league..
We NEED to beat teams like that, to get ourselves in the playoffs...

No reason our backups can`t beat their backups...

And if we can`t handle our business against the "weaker" teams in the league, there is a legitamite argument to be made, that we don`t "deserve" to be in the playoffs, to play "spoiler", and knock off the "tougher" teams we face, there...

We have the talent,when 90 percent healthy, to beat teams like New England, or Denver, or whoever.

It`s on us, to knock offf the teams, we should be superior to, to get in the playoffs...

When we don`t, we leave it up to "tiebreakers", etc..

That wouldn`t happen, if we won our division, or beat the teams out of it, that we SHOULD!

Lack of focus, leadership, or whatever, I don`t know, but, it is frustrating as hell!!!

So, I would agree,,, if we can`t beat the Clowns, in our house, for the FIRST win in our division, this year, we DON`T belong in the playoffs..

We might find some spunk, and sweep the rest of the division games, but so far, we haven`t won one!!!

Beating the Clowns would be a good start, and should be achievable, no matter the extent of our injuries!!

We just can`t expect them to lay down, and hand us this win... They will be fighting for it, too...

If you haven't won a game in your division it's a must win but you know history tells us that the Steelers will make this a job it won't be a blowout

 

Do you think the Pats treat any games not as must win? They treat every game as a must win and they expect to win - thinking games are less important is a recipe for losing.

Every game should be treated as must win.

We are 0-2 in division and 2-4 in the conference.
A loss tomorrow will bring all the 3 and 4 win AFC teams into positions where overtaking the Steelers becomes much easier.

It's a must win, we are already in the back seat with tie breakers with Buffalo and the Jets. If we loose and the season would end after Sunday we would not make the playoffs. So that makes it a must win. If we would of beat the Ravens, or KC, NE, it wouldn't be a must win.
