Spaeth, Garvin, Harrison, Shamarko Thomas are all out.
Shazier, DeAngelo Williams, Heath, Will Johnson, Gilbert, Pead, McLendon, and DHB are all probable.
Ben Roethlisberger is listed as questionable.

Nice to see Shaizer as probable now.

Jesse James will get another look on Sunday. I like the progress he is making.

Well it looks a lot better now than it did earlier in the week. With Harrison out I hope JJ and Dupree come to play.

I read that Joe Thomas, who Jarvis will be facing, has given up only 0.5 sacks this year, and Mitchell Schwartz, who Dupree will be facing, has given up 9. I'll be surprised if Jarvis gets much pressure, and disappointed if Dupree doesn't.

I read that Clown`s rookie Cameron(taking over for Tackle, Bitonio), will have to face Heyward most of the game...
    So, at least there`s that..

This is a strange game, to predict, with all the injuries to both teams...

    At multiple positions...

I would feel lot better if we had a healthy runningback on the roster, to attack their #32 run defense...

If Dwill goes down(or can`t get started...), we could be in serious trouble...

On the other hand, Landry(or Ben) is gonna be facing a depleted defensive backfield, on their side...

Strange game to handicap, especially not knowing either starting qb...

I would ALWAYS rather have Silverback healthy, but we don`t live in a perfect world..

And it does sound like Shazier has moved from questionable, to probable..

    That`s a good thing..

I thought he was pretty durable, from watching him at OSU, but, I recentley read that he took practices off, during the week, so he could play in the games on Saturdays...

One of their coaches even turned it into a verb... "Shaziering it", in reference, to a current player who needed time to heal during the week, to play on gameday...

I was not aware of that...

I still won`t call him a "china doll",

But it raises my level of concern, with his injuries.

And on a side note... It kinda irritates me, when people label players as "injury prone", in general...

SOMETIMES, yeah, there is a lack of conditioning on a player`s part,

But, overall, I would be willing to bet that 80% or more, of the injuries are just the result of what happens on a given play, on the field..

People rolling into a linesman`s legs...spikes getting caught in the turf... 250 pound body colliding with a 220 pound body at full speed, etc...

I believe MOST of the injuries are just the nature of the game...

And SOME players (Pouncey, especially), just happen to be victims of circumstance, more than others...

    Crap happens,

And anyone on the field has an equal chance of said "crap", happening to them.

Sometimes the "injury bug" seems to hit certain teams harder than others..

    Again, "Crap Happens"...

Seems to be a really tough year to play franchise qb, in the NFL, this Year...

Ben, Romo, Luck, Mariota, Brees, etc... Dalton has paid his dues in the past, who knows, he may be next?

    Back to the OP...

We got two banged up teams goin at it Sunday..

We are fighting for a wildcard, they are fighting for their jobs(and their coaches)...

    Should be interesting...

    GO STEELERS!!!:herewego!::dfense::steelflag::brownssuck:

Well it looks like we are about to find out what JJ is all about. Maybe he is one of those players that gets in a rhythm and hasn't been able to since he isn't getting the snaps. I honestly think if he doesn't start showing more we could be looking at drafting another JOB in the top 2 or 3 rounds. I know but we have Chick but let's be honest there's only really a slim chance he ever becomes more than a special teamer and maybe a top back up. Our defense is LBer driven and we need 4 good ones to be successful. Our CB situation might be alright if Cockrell continues to grow and getting Golson back.
