Not as bad as Emmit Smith saying " they got debacled,", but pretty funny, especially the first one. Negative optimism, huh?! :lolol:

As for D-Will's foot, that would just be par for the course in this cursed season!

Exactly I think there are easily a few carries to go around....6 or 8 carries between Todman and maybe even Pead when he gets up to speed. With Bell out there no reason to ride D Will til his wheels fall off too. I'd like to see a few plays for the FBs too ,a run or two or some safe passes.

“I am not (concerned),” Tomlin said.

If he's not worried, I'm not worried. Plus the take I got was they were just giving Williams one day off to rest. Then it was back to practice time.

I think the only thing Tomlin worries about is if he can say obviously 16 times in a two min. sound byte. Meow

Sometimes I can't help but get the inclining that some of these injury reports are for sports betting purposes. Sports gambling is VERY BIG, esp surrounding the NFL.

    I just hope"Dwill", doesn`t have a painfull foot injury....

We wont know from soundbites, we will know when he runs, or doesn`t take the field...

Not sure about Peadman, or whoever, but we need SOMEONE to help Landry...

    Even against the Clowns!!!

I don't think we should be concerned until we see him on the "Inactives" list which isn't gonna happen. Because it can't. We've GOT to catch a break sometime here.
I agree they shouldn't be running him as much. I said this before but there's a good chance that if we would've used DeAngelo more with LeVeon, LeVeon wouldn't have gotten injured.
Someone (I can't remember who) said that this is a 2 back league & I agree. You can't have just 1 back carry this load. It's too heavy, it will crush him. I hope Tomlin realizes that soon.

Excellent news. I've re-watched the Raider game 4 times now and still can't believe how open he was on his screens and when he broke into the secondary on several runs. Not to be picky but D Will was one stupid penalty away from 200 yds rushing while AB was one penalty away from a 300 yd reception day. Can you imagine a 200yd/300yd game in the NFL? The stats they accrued in tandem can only be topped by BB's two 500 yd games last year (or was it two 5 TD games??). Not too shabby for a slightly better than average team record wise. When this D figures out their assignments better and we can muster up even an average kick return ability, we'll be unbeatable. Amazing how a sweet victory can raise the spirits and expectations.

Very few of our best players practiced on Wed. Harrison, Johnson, Miller, Shazier and Williams.. Some of these are just given to the older vets to keep them fresh. What about Shazier. Doe we know if he is ok?

Those were back to back 6 TD games.

Both Shazier and Harrison had knee swelling and are expected to be okay for Sunday.

Living here in NC I'm forced to watch most panthers games. Ive become a fan of theirs over the years. I was a fan of DWill and extemely thrilled when we signed him.

I'm a bit concerned, no big Ben, no Bell, now no DWill......but.......

    We still have Nix!!!!!!!

He'll pave the way for whoever is back there!!! Dude is balling..... if you can say that about a FB.

He should not have played . He looked slow he had no power. He had no ability to cut back..Basically everything that makes him what he is he was not capable of doing at all...Should have went with Todman .

Another case where the Coach actually needs to look at a player and see what they are capable of . He was of zero help in that game. If not comfortable with Todman we should have went 5 Wide.....

Clevelands defensive game plan was to stop Williams and make Jones throw. That was working very well until Jones got hurt. If Todman was in I don't think we see the same defense and therefore the passing game would not have been what it was. If we had gone 5 wide that really would have changed it. Having Williams in made the passing game go to a big extent.

I did not see Williams limping on the sideline so I'm wondering if his poor rushing was more a function of Cleveland keying on him?

Do you think he looked like a RB who should be playing ? I watched him here in Carolina , I have seen him a bunch his trying to play banged up is the reason he is not in Carolina now ... If and when we make a playoff push we will need him. Why send him out there to get beat on ? He had no chance in that game . You would have had a better chance than him....

Of course we would have seen the same defense. The biggest key to a running game is actually being able to run . Williams never got out of 2nd. gear.. So even though he is established and Todman is not .A guy who has all 4 gears has to have equal or greater value than a guy with just 2....

Todman's top end speed would have actually opened up throwing lanes underneath. Football 101 is you attack the Power guy early and often and you respect the speed guy and keep him contained .....Todman actually a better fit for the style that Jones plays.....

He was getting hit at our behind the line of scrimmage on almost every play early in that game. He had some nice runs later in the game.
Nobody knows the severity of his foot injury other than the coaches and the team doctor.

I think he did just fine considering the circumstances and I'm glad he played Sunday.

Landry only played 7 snaps... he was out very early in the 1st Qtr.
Dwill played 59 of 66 snaps.... Nix played only 5 snaps on Offense,,, WJohnson zero.....
The Browns have one of the worse run defenses in the NFL but they were obviously keyed on stopping the run.
