Coach Tomlin said Williams has swelling in his foot and will not practice tomorrow. Obviously this is wait and see, but cross all crossables that he's good to go on Sunday.

    Uhhhmmm If Dwill is D`Angelo...

HELLL YES, WE SHOULD BE CONCERNED!!!...

His backup would be Jacoby Jones, right?!?!

Just when we can take advantage of the Clown`s non-existent run defense, we trot out a guy who wasn`t on the roster, til last week???
    Are you kidding me???

    I hadn`t heard about William`s foot injury...

I really need to find more time to get on the `net...
    WTF?!?!

    tHAT`S OK...

They suk, we will crush `em,,, RIGHT?
With Landry, and whoever else is left on offense, RIGHT???

    o.k.... BREATHE...

We got HEEEAAATH, Brown, Bryant, Wheaton, ummm... Jesse James, ummm...

Decastro? Cody, Villanaova, umm, Foster?.. umm...I`m missing a lineman...and uhmmm...

    A fullback, or two/tight ends?..
    Ummm...
    Ouch...

And I heard Silverback`s playing hurt?... And Timmons has been ummm... MIA?...

C`mon Tuitt, McClendon, Heyward, Shazier, Jarvis? Moats, Spence, Cockrell, MitchelL, and... umm...

    Yikes...

I`m glad we`re only playin the Clowns...

This looks tougher, than it should be!!!

    GO STEELERS!!!:herewego!: :brownssuck:

Could be a record day for Heath and AB then.

    Love your optimism...
As long as Landry can throw, and our recievers catch...
There was a little concern about that, early against the Faders, even with Ben throwing...

This don`t look like a gimme...
But I like our chances, despite our record of "playing down to the competition"...

It don`t get much worse than them, right now...

C`mon, Man... we gotta be able to beat THEM!!!:prayer:...

History suggests I have reason to worry, tho...

They are doing horrible, and they are desperate for a win.

We tend to "coast" against lesser opponents, and our team is severely wounded..

I HOPE we remember we are in a fight for a wild card, at the moment!:thumbs up::butcher::brownssuck:

All I can say is "yikes" if Deangelo can't go.

Williams has had a history of injury so I say that we should absolutely be concerned. The look on my face right now is very much a look of concern. Sorta like Larry David when he really wants to check someone out.

Todman knows the playbook, lets give him
some carries Sunday. I heard Williams will be fine.
Although he can't continue his work load of last week.
29 touches 80 plays on offense. He will be spent by season end.

Let's see what Rosie Nix can add. Loved his blocking and special teams play last Sunday.

Oh yeah... It's definitely a concern. As a UCONN guy I know Todman well as a player, and I really like him. However, he's not the same caliber back as DWill. He can give us good production running and receiving, but he doesn't have the power to push forward through contact the way we've see DWill do, and I doubt you'll see him repeat DWill's "chip" block from Sunday.

Well I hope this time around AB went over and made sure Landry knew who he was and what he can do so he would actually look for him on the field.....

Wondering how far along Pead is he may be ok to give Dwill a break. I am also good with seeing a little Nix and Todman. I am worried about Dwill's health, his injury history is the reason he was not the only back with the Panthers. Guy has talent we have all seen that but the dude just can't play a full season.

    I'd actually forgotten about Pead.

I suppose the good news is, if you're going to be down to your 3rd or 4th string RB against any team, it's best to be against the Browns.

The bad news is, if we're going to lose to any team in a ridiculous and frustrating way, it will be against the Browns.

It's a huge concern. Time to use our backups a little more.

This. Williams is needed for the stretch run. No need to waste him on the clowns. Get Todman and Pead some work.

Deangelo is getting far too many touches .. You have to spell him off every now and again. He is not 24 anymore.. He is 32 ... DO NOT run his wheels off.. Please

Foot injuries are usually bad, I am very concerned. I wouldn't be totally shocked if this could end up being season ending. The worst part is he probably needs rest but we probably won't rest him.

Again if he needs the rest then they need to rest him..He does have a history of these things and we should protect him..

At some point someone needs to help Tomlin out and pull the plug on his mic. At the Tuesday presser he said such remarkable things like:

    1. “I don’t have a level of optimism, positive or negative,” Tomlin said of the injury to Williams.
Never heard of negative optimism except perhaps by a certain prognosticator on this MB who has a "feeling" each week about the impending game's outcome.

2 "“You don’t get to do what he’s done, at the level he’s done it, for so long without having some attractive qualities. I’m not going to pretend like they’re perfect for us, I just think they’re attractive qualities in a professional football player."

Are you kidding me??? This dude has been almost seemless in his running, catching and explosive blocking vs the Superman he replaced. The only thing I can think of that's not perfect is D Will's age but isn't that intuitively obvious? Exceeded all expectations in every other department IMHO.

One thing is certain - MT obviously has a long career in politics should he ever choose to walk away from football.

Agree, unfortunately our coaching staff has a history of running the backs until until the wheels fall off.

i.e.; Parker, Bell. In today's hard hitting NFL you need to spell these guys more. Very few running backs can last a whole season with 27 rushing attempts per game even counting the pass plays and the runs after the catch.

So, are we in the same position as last year after cutting Blount? That is with no real backup?

I like what I've seen from Todman in the preseason. Hope he spells DWill some this week.
