I'd be shocked if he was able to play Sunday. Take the 2 weeks rest and be ready to play the Seahawks. I think that's the best case scenario?

He won't play. He was like this for the weeks he was out with his knee.

Ben has a recent knee injury and ankle injury to the same leg. No he should not start this game at all. I'm giving my support to starting Mike Vick and have him score a running TD and then leap into the Dog Pound side of the stadium. Landry Jones can take over the rest of the game after that.

If a Dr. tells him to go he should be fired ....It appears in is not only the ankle I think he probably tweaked the knee a bit as well . When guys are hurt the risk of hurting something else is greatly increased. I call it the compensation Injury . So with a hurt ankle and a hurt knee almost certain he would pull a calf or a hammy .....No way should he play...

Nope not a sports Dr . In my 25 years around sports I have seen to many young Athletes ruin themselves while trying to play hurt ...You don't need a degree to know that the human body compensates for its self...

It is well documented ....And any DR. that would send a QB out on a bum ankle and a recently healed knee if even healed should be liable for any damage done by his or her poor decision.....

I think I trust the doctors on this message board before I trust the real doctors that actually knows what's going on with Ben

Not happening. If BB wants to play out his contract, he'll need to drop the bravado and make sound decisions henceforth. A doctor can assess structural damage but only BB understands how much pain he is truly experiencing. Don't be silly BEN - heal up IF we are to have any chance making the post-season.

Ok you trust them and if Ben goes and his career is ended , don't say one word about it . Except that smart DR. who put our Franchise QB in grave danger ...Like sending a 1 leg man to ass kicking contest..And then betting on him to win..

If he's cleared by the medical staff to play then he should. If he's not then he shouldn't.
I'd be very surprised if he plays. Injury looked pretty bad, but I'm not a Doctor and even if I was I don't have access to his MRI or X-Ray so couldn't go against what the team Doctor recommends.

Be smart man, no Doctor is going to clear him to play if he's at further risk of injury due to his initial injury.
The team Doctor knows the risks of Ben's job and will make a decision based on that and the significance of the injury.

Gawd here we go again. Don't give your opinion because you don't have a player's medical records.

Never know with Ben, I made mention in the game day thread that Ben didnt look all too concerned about it, not like when it was his knee.

As far as being cleared to play. Its the doctors job to tell the coaches if he's medically cleared to play, thats it, after that, it falls on the coaches whether he should play or not.

The bye will give him time to go through his reinforced custom shoe collection for the right pair.
