looks like Archer is done as a steeler. Jacoby Jones was claimed by the steelers according to steelersdepot.

I almost ..almost,,, gave Dri a pass this morning whne I was looking at team stats and saw that he was averaging 25 yards per kick off return...I dont know how he did that because every return I remember was short of the 20 but I almost said..maybe we should keep him.....nahhhhhhh...Cya!!

Man there have to be better options then this he is washed up. Might have been a good move like 4 years ago when he was still good.

I think he is very talented, but he just needs to be coached on when to return it.

I...I can't believe it. I'm fine with Jones. I just can't believe they cut Dri Archer. I was beginning to think he'd retire here.

He has died but the Soul still BURNS!!! Soul Caliber. Like I said TTF wait and see Dri is like a Vampire they may need some holy water to get rid of him completely. Scorched earth, spread his ashes, tears of a thousand angels gathered in a shop vac that looks like it has floated down the big muddy.

Talk about mixed emotion!! Glad Dri is gone but Jacoby fu**ing Jones??? The dude that stomped all over a Terrible Towel?? I don't understand what we're doing here.
He's a WR/Return Specialist. Clearly he was told he'd play here- and not only as a return specialist. Who are we gonna screw over to put him in??
IF he doesn't get the time on the field he wants, is he gonna run to the locker room early & cry? I'm not sure I like this idea.

Well, I mean, we took a guy that stomped all over dogs so I'm guessing the Towel thing probably doesn't bother them that much at this point. Not that I'm cool with anybody stomping the Towel. Or dogs. Just sayin'.

Actually, I think that was Whosyourmama that stomped the towel. But yeah, I could do without Jones on the team.

Len'dale White and some other Titans stomped on the Towel. Hooiser Momma cleaned his shoes with the towel.

Yeah and after each incident in those years we won the Super Bowl. I was actually at that game in Nashville when White did that and my buddy's wife called as we were on our way home and asked me if I knew about that but I said "No but I know now that we're gonna win the Super Bowl!" and of course we actually did that year.

    Interesting.

    http://m.steelers.com/s/30890/134?itemPos=3

When Jacoby Jones phone rang on Thursday, and the voice on the other end told him, 'You are now a Steeler,' he didn't believe it.

"The first phone call I got I thought somebody was messing with me," said Jones shortly after arriving at the team's practice facility on Friday. "I was like who is this?"

On the other end was Brandon Hunt, the Steelers pro personnel coordinator. He told Jones the team had just claimed him.

Hunt then laughed diabolically, said "have a nice TRIP!" and hung up the phone.

(okay, I made that last part up, lol)

Jones is actually a threat when he gets the ball . When the Coach says it's better for the returner to just stay in the end zone instead of trying to make a play it's time for a new returner ....
