Wow. Didn't see that coming. Is KC reading this board or something?

I have a bad feeling he will turn out to be a great player now. I wonder if he got bad coaching.

Unreal. Kick returns aren't that big of an issue anymore so why cut a rookie contract guy with possible upside in favor of a veteran contract guy on the downswing of his career?

Sometimes our personnel moves just blow my mind.

Before the party starts lets wait to see if he clears waivers and if they sign him to the practice squad and cut someone else.

I have mixed feelings about this because I was a fan of Dri's potential I guess. I hope he atleast gets a chance to show whether he has the ability or not. I don't think he was given much of a legitimate chance here like many others before him. I hope Jones has a little something left in the tank....while. I think he may be a upgrade for a win now team and roster that we have,I'm still disappointed Archer wasn't really given a chance.

Well that's good. I was afraid of paying a million or so. Not that it matters if they have the space a want to spend the money. Would just limit any emergency signings later on.

I don't think he has practice squad eligibility left. He's been active on gamedays too much.

It's not that he was cut, it's who he was cut for is the issue with me. I'm pretty confident that Jones would be no better than Wheaton, Todman, or even Archer back there fielding kicks. If we're cutting Dri let's get some help elsewhere, not just a replacement KR.

I saw this article on Steeler Depot and thought it was a joke. I had to read the article before actually believing it, lol. I agree with GB though, just cut him and try Todman. Use the spot on another position not a specialist.

Not a moment to soon. Potential? We have seen his potential. It's putrid. And he is holding a roster spot to be a kick returner only? Could not break into the Offense. Weak. Indecisive. If he can be put back on the practice squad, lets see if they do it. Jacoby Jones will not be afraid of returning. And can play some receiver.

That's weird. He has 2 1/2 accrued seasons on the active roster.

Kinda cool how the player that dodged Tomlin on the sideline is now a Steeler.
