They may be the least of multiple evils, though. I don't want to see the Cheats* back in the Big Dance.

That makes sense. They lost Sambrailo for the season Sunday.

Man, the Broncos are really going all in if they're trading for Thomas after they just did the Davis trade. It's going to be bleak in a couple of years in Denver with no draft picks.

Well, the Manning window is closing and they know that.

They need to win now, even if that means risking their future.

Browns rejected the offer. They want the Broncos 1st in 2016 plus one of their LB's

Manning+playoffs=choke. Regular season wonder. Let them mortgage their future. I love it.

I would take a look at Eric Weddle. Tomlin has spoken highly. I know he has some age but he is a solid player.

Yeah, Weddle, he would be intriguing but I think he's a little too old and expensive for that trade to be 100% beneficial for us. Isn't he 32 or 33 years old? Not much future left but he could bridge the gap until we find a young guy. Price would have to be right, of course, but I'd be open to it. Not every day you could welcome a player like that into your facility. I think he'd fit in great with our culture and what we're trying to do on defense.

He'd be great, but you're right he's at least 30. His salary this year is $7.5 million too, so even prorated I think that would push us over the cap with all our injury signings.

I really think Osweiler will step in nicely once Peyton is done. He could keep them competitive. The surrounding cast though?????

I think Elway is going for it this year because of Peyton's obvious end and the owner Pat Bowlen losing his health. He wants to get one more ring for the owner.

Agreed. Their defense is nasty. I watched some of Sunday night's game, and they look every bit as good on defense as Seattle was 2 years ago.

It's how Elway has run the ship since he got there.

Very active in free agency, very up on trading. They want to use Peyton while they've got him, so it makes sense.
