Clearly he was ineffective. Terrible for him to go out there playing at 50%.

Ben was playing at 50% today, but I appreciate his effort. Even at 40%, he was still moving around a bit. You just gotta feel bad for a guy playing at 30%, but even though he was playing at 20% he still has a chance to improve for next week.

I disagree with this 100%. Ben was not his best but he's our best option. That INT was a mental mistake not a knee mistake

I'm starting to think his knee is in his brain and it is much more damaged than we thought.

Exactly, which is why he should have played against KC last week to get this out of the way

He played and did terrible. He is still better than Jones so imagine if Jones would have played. I look at it as a good practice for Ben... Well terrible game to be rusty in but maybe next week he will explode!

The one he threw in to double coverage? Oh wait. That still doesn't narrow it down.

I really believe that the reason Ben was uncharacteristically nervous before the game was because he knew the knee wasn't ready. I admire Ben's toughness, but throughout his career he's come back from injury a game or two too soon. His record after coming back from injury supports that.

Ben looked like Ben looks coming back after an injury... It's his mou now. We had our chances and flagged it away legitimately or not. D looked as good as they could and helped extend crucial drives with stupidity themselves terrible game onto next week

Very tough call to make. I said in an earlier thread that I would probably sit him another week than most others would. Although he wouldn't have been 100% (or will be the rest of the season), his comfort level being in there may have been greatly improved. He moved better than I thought he would, even with some of the hits taken so I'll give him that.

Really what could you do for a division game? Maybe start Jones and have Ben come in the second half if he faltered? Like many said, his knee didn't make the mistakes but Ben said before the game he felt a lot of pressure to perform well because of his return this early. I'm sure the Atkins arm swing into his knee didn't help keep his mind off of it.

Without watching the game again, I think Ben was looking pretty good until he took a little shot to his knee. Went downhill after that.

We most likely lose this game with anyone else at QB but at least Ben got a game in to work through the rust. The more he is on the field, the sooner he will be back to form.

Exactly. The first drive, Ben was on fire. There is no way you sit him for that game.

Exactly. Ben often plays a little shaky when injured. He will be better next game be got this one out of the way.

Had the receivers been able to actually catch a f@#*&ng football yesterday, it would'nt even be a discussion this. Was hes great NO, but still better than anything else we had.

The way I look at it, he got 45 practice throws, I look for him to bounce back and have a much better game against the Raiders.

Agreed and not just because of the way he played. I was worried about him getting injured again. I would have rest him as long as they could and still had a chance at the wildcard. Lets be real even with a win yesterday the division was still a long shot. Bell probably doesn't get injured either because they weren't using him in the passing game as much without Ben. Hindsight is 20/20.

I posted this before, but I think he should have played last week to knock the rust off so he was ready for the Bengals game, which was a much more important game to win.

I think the same. Would have liked for Ben to play some last week against the Chiefs. Even for a quarter just to get the some rust out. But to come out and play 4 quarters right off the bat like he did yesterday is asking a lot.

After he got hit a little on his knee he wasn't the same and I think he was really hurting. Again in hind sight it would of been better if he only played a half. Just don't understand why you can't ease a player back into game shape without always going all in. Again that's a head coaches decision and not the player cause they may never take themselves out, however I could see if they did pull Ben and brought in LJ in the second half and we then lost the boards would of really lit up. I'm thinking you had to be closer to the injured player
to see how bad he was really hurting before making that decision.
