Originally a receiver, why not run this giant as a tight end along with Heath, imagine trying to stop him with a full head of steam!!

They used to do the same with Mike Adams, didn't they? At least he'd be more useful coming in as an eligible receiver, as he could actually catch the ball.

But still, I doubt we can just plug him in at TE - there's still a big transition to NFL level. Just ask Jesse James.

No. Right now he needs to focus on being our franchise LT. Protecting Ben is job #1,2 & 3.

When he was a TE he weighed in at 250, now as a tackle he weighs 340, at his present weight he doesnt have the speed to get open on pass plays, I would guess his 40 time now is probably in the 5.5 or higher range, I want to see him thrive at tackle where he is better suited to play.....

Before Beachum went down- sure. Now? I can't see how they could make that work.

Yep no way to make that work now . I actually think the Steelers need to get all the TE'S off the field for a week or 2 . Spread Teams out and use our depth at WR to punish Teams. This will help Ben get the ball out quicker and clean up the box around him, less trash in it ...

Why Haley doesn't use more 4 WR sets is beyond me ? We are not maximizing our talent when we fail to use sets to get that talent on the field . If you gave this set of WR'S to the Patriots 4 and 5 wide is all you would see..Heck with the ability of Bell as a dual threat that's all I want to see.

Yeah they did with Adams. Well at least he "reported" as eligible. I can't think of a time that he was ever actually targeted though. I highly doubt they target AV either. I still bet he can catch better than James though. LOL!

Maybe in the red zone if beachum wasn't hurt.. But not now that he's our starting tackle.

perhaps slower yea but for a short yard grab , would be great sticking those arms up above the rest of the field. trying bringing that behemoth down! Spaeth who. barley even get a glimpse of that name during a game . Its a shame, him and Heath are built the same move the same running actually using them at same time would really throw off the D. same as when we had Polamalu and Ventrone virtual twins on the field should have both been allowed to run free, imagine a Qb not knowing whose hair was flying at him, but the staff didnt take advantage of it .

Don't know if every one saw it but on Ben's last or next to last INT. 78 was right in front of him even when Ben was running for his life. 78 was keeping people off Ben. I like him at RT right now. Beacham will go back there next year but, I bet 78 has a starting position on the line.
