Brown aint going anywhere. Like the other poster said this offense would sputter pretty much to a halt.
They brought in Vick but you're some how worried about the Rooney's concern for characteristic traits?

I saw a meme that said it was and always has been a chocolate soft serve emoticon and people have unfairly cast it as poo. I had a good laugh.

If he tries to hold out again and tries to strong arm them he will be in huge trouble..AB started to do that this season where will his head be next season ? To me his head will be within its self and whats best for him. AB may very well sit out the entire season next year . Him and his agent get to talking and both start talking about how great he is and how he should be getting paid is not going to fly with the Steelers....

He is heading the same path that Wallace did he will chase the money and end up being just another good WR and not a great one . I don't think all his hard work has been for the Love of the Game more for the Love of his money. With a ME attitude the Steelers will never pay up...

I don't want AB to go anywhere nor do I think that's going to happen, but as long as we have Ben we'd be just fine with Bryant, Wheaton, Coates, DHB and another mid to late round sleeper. I hope AB realizes that, even though he is a great player, he needs a great (at least a very good) quarterback throwing him the ball so he can do the spectacular things we've become accustomed to him doing. He needs to talk to his former Young$Crew teammate if he needs to be reminded of that. MW has fallen off the radar with Tannehill and now Bridgewater throwing him the ball. I guess Sanders is okay with arguably the greatest ever QB throwing him the ball, but the chances that AB would go somewhere with one of the top QBs of all time is slim. It would be more likely that he'd end up with a mediocre to above average guy winging it to him.

AB has a history of working as hard or harder than those he plays with. He has a proven work ethic (as mentioned often by his peers and coaches), He wants to be the BEST and works at it! I cant believe his motivation is money. I believe his motivation is success and championships. I think that is healthy motivation. I would love to believe all the Steeler players, coaches, management and ownership were as motivated and worked as hard to improve.

I seriously think he needs to be the teams media liason and teach everyone how to talk to the media. Of course he would have to teach a course on being an unselfish player too but people need that as well.

Heath has been underutilized his whole career: by his offensive coordinators and Ben.

Remember how wide open he was in SB 45 on the final Steelers play?

He has never complained anout any of it.

I think AB would still be great, he made some eye popping catches with Landry still. He also had like 9 catches for 130 yards, something like that.

This whole thing is amusing to me, the guy barely said boo but youd think hes been running his mouth his whole career reading this thread.

AB's "attitude" will not have anything to do with whether he stay here or not, only dollars and cents will. The guy works his ass off to be the best in the league, the kind of guy you want on your team. So he got a little frustrated with Vick, can you blame him! We were all destroying Vick.

IIRC the same thing was said about Mike Wallace. He was lauded for his work ethic and extra time put in when he first got to Pittsburgh.

And I haven't been destroying him. I think he's the best in the league. Great work ethic too. Helluva player. I just think it's starting become evident that he's a me first kind of guy. Maybe he can change?

You learn a lot about someone's character when the pressure is on, when things aren't going smoothly. Look at how Heath has handled the situation compared to Brown.

Heath didn't bash him but I'm damn sure that he knuckled up on him person to person

I didnt say you were destroying him. I said we were all destroying Vick.

And Heaths career is done, no more big contracts coming his way, AB is playing for his big pay day still. I'm sure Heath would like more passes his way but at the end of the day, its not going to affect him dollars and cents. Aside from a financial aspect, Im sure AB also feels that the more involved he is in the game plan the greater the chances of them winning. I tend to agree that it is certainly beneficial to the teams overall goal of success if hes got the ball in his hands.

It was a one time occurrence, if it becomes a pattern with him then I'll agree but right now this is much ado about nothing.

I read an article on Tomlin today that said he told AB to knock it off with the complaining and apparently he said "It's not about your stats. It's about getting more Lombardi's for our stash."

I`m not trying to contribute to a media created "soap opera",

But, I can`t help but point out the difference in saying "I`m Not Allowed to comment on that",
    versus saying...

    "No Comment"...

    On Antonio`s part...

He certainly is entitled to his right to free speech, as we all are...

He might want to consider following Heath`s example, though...

I don`t percieve him as "greedy", or "me-first", at the moment...

But he wasn`t doing himself any favors, in the court of public opinion, or his front office/team mates` opinion, with some of those comments...

    Just Sayin...

    GO STEELERS!!!:yeehaw:

We're often a very reactive fanbase as a whole. The way that Wallace changed from the future of our team to a one trick pony around here was astonishing. Not entirely unfounded, but that was perhaps Wallace's character. If Brown hasn't learned something from that, I'd be surprised.

When Brown mentioned about not getting passes thrown his way, I think most fans were thinking the same thing. The question was whether he was right to say it in public or not. I guess that's what Heath was saying.

AB has had all the praise from around the league about what an amazing player he is. Of course he wants the ball. As I said in another thread, it's the same as when Santonio wanted the ball on the last drive in SB43. What shows it up as negative, I think, is when the ball is thrown his way and he drops it. Or he starts kicking off in the middle of a game that a ball wasn't thrown exactly where he wanted it. That's when it all starts to look a bit unsavoury.

AB has every right to complain and so does Heath.... Heath should know better then anyone what it feels like to be a great receiving te and never being used like the greats. I think Heath is the best all around the in the game but should have way more receiving yards with his skills. Steelers have been blessed with a lot if gems that have toned down their shine for the good of the team
