Is this game a must win? The Steelers already have 3 losses in the AFC.

That is a rhetorical question, right? It's a divisional game and the Bengals are 6-0 and 1st in the AFC North.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Bengals are a touchdown favorite even with the game being in Pittsburgh.

It's pretty close to a must win for the division. For a wild card, no. When I look at our competition for the wild card spots, I think it's likely that our competition for the 6th seed is a 9-7 or 8-8 team. There's a lot of football left to play.

To have any realistic shot at winning the divison. It's a must win. It would also not hurt our wildcard chances.

I think it's way to early to talk about playoffs.

But, looking that the AFC south is terrible. The colts will win it by default.
The AFC East looks like it's the Patriots to win. With the Jets being a strong wild card contender. The dolphins have been brought to life a little.
The AFC West Broncos will win it, the Raiders look like a different team than years past, so they too are in the running for a wild card.

But, there is ton of football left to play. If the Steelers win these next 3 and the Bengals lose the next 3. The outlook is going to be quite a bit different in 3 weeks if that could happen.

For the division, I'd say it is. Also wouldn't hurt to keep pace with the Jets and Raiders.

Ugh. Between the atrocity that is the Bengals uniform, and our hideous throwbacks, they'd better issue a seizure warning before they air the game.

Those uniforms are without a doubt the ugliest uniforms worn by any pro team at any level in any sport. Anti nausea medication will be required to watch the game this weekend.

Must win no but to have any hope to win the division yes. With 4 losses the room for error would be very small but look at the injuries we are dealing with, while Cincy is the healthiest team in the league. We could be the Cowboys whose season will be over by the time Romo and Bryant get back. Right now the key is to get as healthy as possible, stay afloat and get hot at the end of the year and in the playoffs. I don't see anyone in the AFC I am truly scared of except NE, if we are healthy. And I think we can give NE a run if we have everyone for that game.

I remember when the packers had 16 players on IR and they beat us in the superbowl, it's not about whose injured, it's about their replacements stepping up and grabbing the ring...

I don't think its a must win to make the playoffs, just to win the division. I think the Steelers are a lock for the playoffs if Big Ben can stay healthy.

    I'm reminded of...

"What’s that? Ah — Playoffs? Don’t talk about — playoffs? You kidding me? Playoffs? I just hope we can win a game! Another game."

All joking aside.... I'm very worried about both our defensive play and Ben being able to play without getting re-injured.
This game will be a very good test to see if we're able to bounce back and be any kind of contender this year.

I'm looking forward to it! :)
