These aren't your grandmothers bangles this team looks poised to make a run this year it's really going to be hard for us to keep pace with them

eeehh,, a couple a weeks ago a truck driver from OHIO came to my job and we got to talkin football he was a Bengals fan, and said they were going to the SB this year. and said the Steelers will be in 3rd place in the Division,.... And Balt at the bottom lets just say we argued for awhile and leave it at that

 

....and if I had a nickel for every time people said "the Bengals are for real" at this stage of the season (including as recent as last year)........well I could bequeath TTF a big fat endowment that would offset the millions he's pulling in from ads on this awesome site.

 

And Andy Dalton is a great (regular season) quarterback!

Don't you all just hate it when CBS turns to Boomer E to gloat and give the recap of a Bungle victory (guess we have the post-season to wait for him to eat crow........again).

 

I'm quite confident our O can beat them; the real test will be how our secondary holds up.

 

Hopefully it will put added pressure on us tomorrow night that we have to win this game

 

Bengals suck, they are a regular season pony.

Of course not only have they not won a playoff game since Dalton entered the league, neither have the Steelers.

 

They do remind me a bit of the 1980's teams that were really good. As with everyone else a lot of what happens later will come down to injuries or the lack of them.

 

Man how time flies. Thought your statement was way off until I checked and we haven't won a playoff game for 5 years (Jan 2011) - a season before carrot top was drafted.

 

Seattle choked, their offense did nothing once they got that 17 pt lead they let the Bengals hang around and they found a way to win.

 

They are not putting any teams away early besides the Raiders and their schedule is also looking pretty week

I agree. I was watching it today and they looked good but you know when the weather turns cold the real Andy Dalton will show up. Their d does look very stout though. There was also a play where Pac Man called for a fair catch but then said he didn't and went ballistic on the refs. Did you see it?

 

No but he should have because after he screamed at the ref as he was walking away he took his helmet off on the field and was going off. They only flagged him for the fake fair catch.

 

I think they are for real. Good defense, good running game, good receivers and one of the best tight ends in the NFL. It's all to Dalton in the post season. I think with Ben we can match their offense, it's our pass defense and the match ups in the passing game that concerns me with playing them.

 

Who's gonna match up on Eifert? I think that guy can be a nightmare for a lot of teams.

 

Don't worry, Cincinnati will start to self-implode as the season goes on. Living in Ohio an hour from Cincinnati, I work with more than a few Bengals fans, and we have the same discussion every year. They'll admit that the Bengals will look good and then fall apart when it counts later in the year.

 

I also remember the Clowns being in first place in the division about 7 weeks into the season last year, after they beat the aforementioned Bungles, last year...

Whoda thunkit???!!!

And then...

The Clowns were the only team in the division, NOT in the playoffs..

I dunno... I don`t take the Bungles lightly..

They came back against the Sqwaks, and are still 5-0.. 2 games bettr than us...

We need to beat them twice, and without Ben, probably, the 1st time...

I like to laugh at them as much as the next guy, but...

I think they are a legit threat this year, unless the injury bug bites them.
