Tailgating

    New member here, as an introduction my wife and I live in Idaho and are lifelong fans. Our bucket list is getting shorter, and we are coming to Heinz Field on the 18th! We are looking to make it an experience of a lifetime, and want o be involved in the whole Steeler experience. With that being said, can I get some info on tailgating? We don't know anyone there but would really like to experience the whole game day experience. Any info would be appreciated, go Steelers!!

    Hey Idaho Fan. I was just in Heinz field tailgating for the Ravens game on Oct 1. I'm not a local, so I take advantage of the Steelers Tailgate at the AE Zone. Reasonably priced drinks and snacks were around.

    They have live entertainment there as well although they had a blue grass band from Alabama when I was there that didn't really work for a tailgate.

    Talking with Pope Yinzer is a requirement.

    There are some parking lots near by where the classic tailgating is happening. You pretty much can walk up to any group of steelers fans and join in.

    This was my second time at a Heinz Field game and we were lucky enough to get into Grille 36 beforehand. This is Jerome's restaurant. It was an awesome experience and a great atmosphere. If you intend on doing this make sure to go extra early as the place fills up in a hurry.

    I am by no means a Heinz Field tailgating expert but if you have any other questions about the Pittsburgh experience I would be more than happy to try to help.

    Thank you for the reply. I was curious about the AE zone, may check it out. I was hoping the traditional tailgators might take us in. Sounds like Grille 36 is the place to be! Cant wait to get there, counting down the days!!
