I think they should use AB in the slot and motion him from side to side ,use the speed and size of Bryant and DHB to force Cb's up and Safeties back this should create a lot more space for AB and Bell to work in.

Problem is Rivers is a mismatch for vick, and how many 4th down plays is our new offensive coordinator tomlin going to call????:lolol:

I think that would be a good set. Bell was very handcuffed vs the Ravens because although he had a lot of catches (was it 7?) he had zero space to work with. Without a threat of throwing the ball downfield the defense was able to key in on the short stuff.

Exactly you have to at least show the threat whether you make the play or not . My school of thought is you throw deep at least once or twice a half just to keep the DB's honest.

I wouldn't say the Chargers don't have no receivers, Keenan Allen is good Antonio Gates returns from suspension and those short passes to Woodhead will be difficult to cover.

If Bryant does really good can we call his play "dope"
hope he doesn't suffer "chronic" fatigue
    achy joints
with out him the team will be in the "weeds"
does san diego have turf or grass
just hoping all the buzz will be how well the team played for the win and how dope Bryant is

At least with Bryant back we will be playing at a "higher" level than last week!

I heard the audio on his interview... I don't know man, he is a great player ... I'm hopeful about this guy, but I'm wary about his maturity level.

I think he has learned his lesson and will be in the league for a long time. Nobody believed Mathieu when he said his troubles were behind him but this counselor changed his life around so hopefully it does the same for Bryant.

Because so many 21 and 22 year olds are mature beyond their years? We really need to give these young adults a break. Most of them come from nothing and then are thrust into the spotlight with what seems to them to be an endless supply of cash. Of course there are going to problems. To expect otherwise is just foolish

Yeah i forgot Gates was coming back for this game. That will be huge for Rivers. His favorite target.

If Ben was playing, I would suggest the first play be a bomb to Bryant. Maybe line him up inside and cross with the outside receiver as a type of pick. Keep Brown on the other side of field to keep safety honest and Bell as an outlet.

Maybe they could still run that play. I know the coaches follow this site

if he is healthy he should play, he is young, he undoubtedly is in shape, and he spent time with Vick in camp already.

I look at the incredible opportunity these guys have and I wonder how can they be so stupid to take a chance on screwing it up. Then I just thought about how I was at that age, and now I better understand.

Exactly. I did some really profoundly stupid stuff at that age despite having a solid upbringing, education etc.
