True Steelers Fans

Born in beaver pa about 30 mins north of pittsburgh my dad has worked at the same mill for 45 years or so. Also i used to walk around and tell people i was lipps when i was 4 years and im white. Also come june maybe july im moving back to pittsburgh probably back to beaver. What does that classify me as.

 

Also said mill has changed names like 5 times now.

I don't think you've covered the ones like my Goddaughter, who has never lived there, but has inherited the Steelers due to my fanaticism. She's too young to remember anything past 4 years ago.

Never lived in PA let alone in Pittsburgh. Only been to Pittsburgh once in my life. The only family I have from Pittsburgh is my stepfather but I've been a Steelers fan for almost 40 years and he has only been my stepfather for 22 years.

Guess I should turn in my fan card since I'm not a real fan. Anyone want to buy a framed and autographed Bettis jersey? How about a Roethlisberger jersey? I also have a half dozen Steelers t-shirts if anyone is interested.

I also need help picking a new team. The closest NFL cities to me are Philly, Baltimore and DC so I guess I have to pick one of those team, huh?

My grandfather was born and raised in Johnstown and has been a fan of the Steelers since the 30's, he moved to New York, and then to New Hampshire, and continued being a Steelers fan. He got me hooked on the Steelers in the late 70's/early 80's and I have been a fan ever since, even though I have never in my life been to Pittsburgh, since when I was younger my father was in the military and I spent most of my formative years in Germany, and he retired in Colorado, where I reside to this day...

There, now all of us non Steelers fans who don't live in Pittsburgh but who live, eat and breathe Pittsburgh Steelers football all our lives know all this time we weren't really fans. Who'd a thunk it??

Let me just say this: if the wife and I had a dollar for everytime we were asked if we are from Pittsburgh, we'd be filthy rich. It's not hard to tell we bleed Black & Gold.
