With 2 minutes and 30ish seconds left they are at 3rd and 4. Baltimore has 1 time out left. Coach decides to pass to Coates and it's incomplete. Clock STOPS. TO saved. We stop them on D. Run the clock down to 50. And miss the FG. Now... Imagine if we would have ran with bell. First down maybe. Game over? Definitely! Na. Not for Tomlin.

None of the other nonsense ever would have happened, but it did. All because they put the ball in the hand of a second string QB.

The Coates play was absolutely asinine. It was a killer for sure. Just totally dumb.

Kinda like the Cowboys vs Giants game in week 1. the time management on this team very bad. I understand that we should get points from the kicker, but take every thing you can get while attempting it ffs!

Stupid play call, sure, but still a blatant PI not called against Baltimore. That should have been a first and kept the clock running. I hate blaming the refs but more and more the last few years, they have screwed us royally.

I thought it was good defense. None the less.... Should have never happened. Bell...... You know the second leading rusher a season ago? The one who is having a very good game???

I kind of thought Haley called the offensive plays.

I figure decisions on play calls made by Haley have to be ok'd by Tomlin

On every single play? Not likely.

Important plays, maybe. Maybe Tomlin interjects at that point and says he wants a pass. But more likely it's Haley's call. Given how off the playcalling was the entire 2nd half, it wouldn't surprise me. Haley started to outthink himself again.

That was pretty much what I meant. Tomlin being aware of every play call Haley (and Butler) makes and will interject when he doesn't approve. So in a way he is responsible and you can loop them all together imo.

I am not going to question his choices, but he cut his post game press conference way short. If you are going to make those decisions and be all bravado and talk you better stand there and take it, not duck out from the questions....

Vick is a washed up second rate backup QB. His underwhelming performance was totally expected.

I first hold Mike Tomlin accountable. Atrocious head coaching decisions last night. Baffling.

I second hold Todd Haley accountable. Hot putrid garbage play calling. Vick is NOT Ben. I repeat, Vick is NOT Ben. Vick cannot do 5% of what Ben does. Adjust your play calling accordingly, you idiot. Even if that means running Bell all effin' night. The dude was finding his mojo late in the game and Haley decides to call for throws Vick cannot complete. Never has, never will. Realize that Vick has numerous limitations.

Thirdly, I hold the front office accountable. I'm not mad Vick is a Steeler, but we should be in a better position with our backup QB. Does Grad really have a season ending injury? Did he have to be IR'ed?

Fourth, darn you Mark Barron. You screwed our season.

Fifth, Suisham...dude...did you really have to tackle that guy. Wasn't he running out of bounds anyway.

This just all sucks. And we are all rightfully venting. But 'tis life. As they say...If IFs and BUTs were candy and nuts, it would be Christmas.

    Get well soon, Ben.

I know for a while that many were blaming Ben for poor clock management, then others were blaming Tomlin. Well - it seems to be systemic at this point - and that falls squarely on Tomlin. He needs to get better. Much better.

you do what is working. This is on the coach.

We got 5 sacks, 1 pick, 1 fumble, stopped them TWICE on 4th down, had a 13 pt lead at 1 point, committed no turnovers and still lost. Bad coaching, no adjustments, same ol song and dance.

:this!: Every time the O shines Haley calls a great game. When plays don't pan out Tomlin needs to be fired. It's almost amusing at this point.

This loss is squarely on Scoobee. No excuses, field and conditions didnt seem to bother the Ravens kicker.

No QB, no run defense and questionable play calling didnt help either.

Tomlin's short press conference: This game will not define us. Sorry coach, it did. And a divisional game to boot.

Haley is in a tough spot, trying to game plan with a washed up QB in a short amount of time that Tomlin just had to have.
Again, Vick cannot or ever could:
    A) Go through his progressions
    B) Read Defenses

He is a running QB who can throw the long ball. Period.

Oh and some said Vick did his job because he didn't turn the ball over. Sad.

It's a given that Scobee will be swept out of Pittsburgh. Can't trust him in the clutch.

Unrest in the Steel City. The games are going to get tougher. Ben cannot come back soon enough.

This. Absolutely maddening. He looks for his primary - if not open, he runs. Not that a stat matters, but pretty much the reason why AB lost both of his streaks last night. He and Ben are polar opposites in this regard.

62 yards of total offense in the second half, basically no offense at all, we had a chance to win the game in OT with a 50 yard field goal, I dont care how many F/Gs scobee missed during the game you give him the shot at redemption to win the game, but offensive genius tomlin calls a 4th down run with vick when we have Bell who rushed for 129 yards during the game out blocking, never saw a coach so determined to lose a game, what an idiot we have for a head coach; I must mention that other 4th down call he made when logic dictated you punt the ball, keep this clown away from the offense in the future..
