spaeth- willj- nix

    looks like we are without spaeth for this one.

    nix had more snaps than willj last week.

    will james play more or will willj get more playing time at TE with nix at FB?

    why is willj seemingly in the doghouse?

    i know glenn we are talking about a couple of guys off the street unlike will allen and why do they matter, but? :smiley1::cool:

    Now I would be all for that. I really hope we go heavy and just beat teams I to submission with the run game.

    Nix seems to have been used more as a classic FB than they have done with Will J in the past. Maybe they want Will J to have the flexibility, but actually develop Nix to be a proper lead blocker.

    In that case, it wouldn't surprise me to see Will J lining up in Spaeth's slot. We know he can catch, as well...

    I think those guys will be very important during Ben's absence, especially tomorrow. We're going to run a lot, and the defenses know it. That means the blocking needs to be spot on. I will go as far to say that Spaeth may be missed as much as Shazier tomorrow. We have good backup ILBs, but I don't think we have a replacement for Spaeth as a top notch run blocking TE.
