Could the Steelers have a dilemma on their hands?

    Let's say it's determined that Ben is going to be out for 8 weeks. Since the team can only have one player on the IR designated for return, do they put Pouncey on the IR ending his season in hopes that we can bring Ben back for the home stretch?

    Any thoughts on this from our resident "transaction" experts?

    They just don't worry about Ben eating up a roster spot is all.

    I'm not sure I entirely understand what you're asking. They can only use that once, so there's that, but they also have to wait to make a judgement on Pouncey. They can't just change their mind now and place him on IR.

    Yeah, that's what I thought too. The deed is done, and our "designated to return" tag has been used.

    Okay. I thought they could only use that on one player and not necessarily only one time. If that's the case, we have no dilemma, lol.

    No problem here. They already have the 3rd QB on the 53 man roster. All they do now is move Ben to the list of in-actives on Gameday. No roster juggling needed. That's the one benefit of Landry Jones making the 53.

    Hahaha. Did you see the dirt blowing out of the side if the vac? That's why the delay was 26 minutes. They never figured out they would pick it up and it was being blown back out. Should have got the NE equipment guys to clean it up. They are really good at hiding things Custodial Arts? Haha
