Is they are finally giving him respect. He is ranked 3rd best behind Brady and Rodgers. Ben IS elite, now has time to throw to show big numbers. Ben is on a misssion and he wants that #7. Shame on you guys for saying any defense can stop him, they cant.

    :D

I believe Haley should get some credit for the way Ben has been playing too. I think when he started here his first priority was to keep Ben upright with quick, shorter passes, which in turn helped out our weak o-line. Now that the line seems to be on the right track (Munch) he's letting Ben and the offense open up. You never hear about them not seeing eye to eye anymore, even if those reports back then were probably a bit overblown to begin with.

But yeah, Ben has looked great. And with the weapons he now has......fuhgeddaboudit!

I'm with the Haley and Munch thoughts.

I said in the past Ben wasn't elite. And he wasn't.

A better offensive strategy and line has apparently allowed him to excel.

You also don't get elite status in my book with 1-2 seasons in that category. But he is certainly starting to shine as one of the current best.

Part of this also depends on how you define elite and the function of time. I factor in time.

Hes been among the best in the league for a long time, now he can claim the #3 spot, only two can be argued that are better, Rodgers and Brady and I might not even put Brady ahead of him anymore.

Rodgers has put up some big numbers over the years but only 1 SB win I don't think he will ever get another one,,,I rate Ben above him in the number 2 slot ,,,Brady still has a firm grip on that #1 spot call him a cheater call the Patsy's cheaters they are still the team to beat,,,the friggin turds

It may just be semantics, but I'm defining as elite as one of the few ever. And there have been a lot of great quarterbacks. Plus I also account for consistency. And Ben has been consistently inconsistent.

Also Ben is one in a few ever. Look at the way he plays the game and tell me who else plays like that at a level like that.

There was a thread on this web site before last season began asking "Is Ben a sure fire 1st ballot hall of famer?" My answer at that time was no not yet. Well guess what? After last season and this seasons first two games #7 has proven to me that no matter how many more SB rings he does or does not win he deserves to go into the hall on his first ballot!!

Yesterday this fantasy noob told me that "Ben is one of the best qb's in the league now". I said "Yeah. I've known that for literally years but whatever." It kills me that people think that because he hasn't put up good "fantasy numbers" that suddenly since he is then it must mean that he's better now. Ben has been one of the flat out best qb's under pressure. He is a phenomenal athlete. He avoids the rush probably better than any big man maybe ever has. He has done this behind a scrapyard o line for most of his career. Now that Munch has the line playing Ben is showing what he has been capable of all along. Ben is also not a very selfish player like a lot of the big name qb's. He's perfectly fine to hand the ball off if need be. If you look at guys like Manning they are throwing when they are in the red zone up by 40. Ben is a winner. First and foremost. That's the ultimate stat to him is "Win". That's why I love him.

You're new here but ask anyone, I am as big a fan of Bens as anyone but as far as I'm concerned, no ones is better than Rodgers. If Ben continues to fire the football the way he did last year and these first two games, I'll start to weigh which one is better, him or Rodgers.

Rodgers is an absolutely phenomenal passer. That dude can put the football where he wants when he wants. He throws the back shoulder like a beast and there's a ton of velocity even on his deep ball.

Hes the only other QB I feel could have played for us and done well. He's tough, unlike the other two nancys and can scramble and like you said, can put the ball anywhere.

Maybe when it's all said and done Ben will be what people think of when they hear "Big Ben" instead of a British landmark. I would be fine with that. USA! USA! USA! LOL!

I know everyone has their own opinion of what elite is and whether Ben is that or not but all you really have to do is look at his rookie record. That was very telling in regards to his ability and his future. Yes, you can argue about the talent that surrounded him but to do what he did as a rookie...well not many can say the same!

In my view, in Rodgers we are watching one of the greatest QBs of all time. I've never seen a QB consistently fit passes into the windows that Rodgers does. I haven't seen any WR leave Green Bay in recent years and do anything. James Jones was a stud WR in Green Bay with Rodgers throwing to him. He leaves and does absolutely nothing, and then comes back and has 3 TDs in 2 weeks. He makes his WRs great.

I've often said that Ben is a top tier franchise quarterback, but not elite. I think he's stepped his game up since Haley has been there and I now believe Ben is in the elite category. Ben and Haley may not love each other, but they've been good for each other.

hnnnnnnnnn,,, elite not elite I think he is one of the elite QBs,,,,when he came to the Steelers the O-line sucked and he took a beating the O-line got a little better and he was still taking a beating but during that time they won the SB 2 times,,,and then came Haley,I did not like the change one bit but the O-line got better the running game improved and Ben was not getting hit near as much and this past season Ben put up his best numbers to date,,,,,,,now just because his number have improved in the last couple years does not suddenly make him a elite QB,,,,he always has been one of the elite
