I have a soft spot for him because he went to Kent State where my oldest went. I know, I know - that has nothing to do with his playing ability.

Heck my wife and I both went to Kent State but Archer is toast. Kent was really good to Pittsburgh in Lambert and Harrison but one too many times to the well with Archer

Todman is a very solid #3 back. In a pinch you can give him 20+ touches, and he'll give you a solid overall performance. I frankly don't get why Jacksonville let him go. He was a solid backup for them who can do everything you ask a RB to do in both the running and passing game. I know his college work very well as a UCONN season ticket holder. He was absolute money there.

Maybe but heaven forbid we put Landry on the practice squad.

I think he is the odd man out, another boneheaded 3rd round
    selection
. How many chances do these guys get?

Yeah, no other teams ever miss on draft picks.
Colbert and Tomlin both signed extensions. They're not going anywhere.

I think this is probably the best analysis of the guy I've read so far. I tend to agree - we all know that Archer needed more time on the field to be effective (otherwise it was obvious he was getting the ball), and now we have so many other weapons that's not necessarily a luxury we can afford.

It's time to end the Dri Archer experiment. He maybe fast on a track surface but it hasn't translated on to the turf.

It seems like Tomlin and Haley desperately want to find a hybrid, speedster type like Harvin or Sproles. Those guys don't come around all that often.
