All and all I thought he played well. He ran good routes, blocked very well in the running game and caught every pass ,I believe ? He did slide his foot on the line , but at least he showed he can get open and he can catch ..

The 1 deep ball Ben put a tad bit to much air under it , had it been just right DHB could have kept running for the TD . As those 2 get more comfortable that pass should be there .

When Bryant gets back our 4 WR set should be the best in the NFL hands down . Simply put DHB and Brown on 1 side and Bryant and Wheaton on the other .. No Team has an answer for that set .On the DHB/Brown side we will have all the WR screen stuff to AB with a great blocker. That side will also have pure speed to open up room for Brown ...

DHB is earning more snaps his play is going to demand more 4 WR sets. I knew we should have used it more last year ...

It is imperative that he understand exactly where the sidelines are if he wants to take his game to the next level which is well within reach. I give him a B+ for his performance last night. If he was in bounds for that TD catch, it would have been a solid A.

    Agreed.

But then AB has also had his issues with toes and sidelines. With DHB and Williams, I am a lot less concerned about missing Bell and Bryant now. Let's hope the chemistry continues to grow, as PWP says.

DHB just needs more polish, and sadly, I don't think it'll ever happen. Some guys are just meant to be the #4 WR. But he's a fine #4, one of the better ones in the league. At this point in his career he'll catch what he's supposed to and not much more. We won't see many  catches from him, but that's ok. He's solid.

I think we will see more 3 WR sets against the 49RS. today , Tunch and Wolf also speculate more 3 WR sets in the Redzone . I think DHB will have a good day today . We know AB will but we need others to step up a bit more today ...

DHB will be a afterthought on offense once Bryant returns.

Maybe then again maybe not . It seems to me though now would be the time to pull for DHB to step up . The Team needs him to do so and I for 1 expect him to do so .

I hope not. The more playmakers the offense utilizes the better.

I predict a huge game from DHB today -- Go Steelers!!

So, how did you like DHB's performance today PWP? Lol huge game for him. I still think he will get very limited usage once Bryant gets back, but I'm glad he's making the most of his opportunity so far.

They could take some of Wheatons snaps away. Having two HR hitters on the field at once plus AB, that would cause OC's to have sleepless nights.

I think the trick to DHB is to only allow him to run routes in the middle of the field.

Idk. Wheaton is a way better receiver than Bey. They had Wheaton running over Bryant in a lot of 2 WR sets, I doubt all of the sudden Bey has jumped them both.

I'll take two more games like this one tho until Bryant gets back haha it's nice to have someone who can fill in and play well when we need him

You really think that Wheaton is way better? He never seems to be on the same page as Ben. I say at this point DHB has shown more than Wheaton in this offense.

Yeah, he's more well rounded. Better hands, route running, can play inside and out... Bey has caught a couple deep passes this season, but he's played 18 games with us and caught less than 10 passes. Hard to say he's shown more than anybody.

I'm glad he's playing well, he's making a case to actually get snaps when Bryant gets back. But hes a WR4. A good one, but still just a WR4. We have tons of weapons on this O, can't give everyone snaps.

I disagree. I dont think Wheaton is way better, he hasn't been very impressive IMO and seems to have a chemistry problem with Ben. That being said, Im not suggesting benching Wheaton, just some reduced snaps, assuming Bey can continue to impress.

Wheaton doesn't have a chemistry problem with Ben anymore, he has been solid he just doesn't get that many opportunities.

If DHB keeps playing like this it really should be Brown, Bryant and DHB. He blocks better then Wheaton and still has that speed. It looks as though Ben trusts him which is good enough for me.

I really would just like for Wheaton to play good so maybe we could use him as trade bait. I really could see him being like an Emmanuel Sanders or Nate Washington type player that maybe other teams can use a lot better than we can. I just wish we could get something for him as opposed to him going out as a free agent and us getting nothing.
