Why you shouldn't watch the Sound of Music after a horrible Steelers loss

Granted, I wrote this last year, but it would appear to still apply.....Oddly enough, the defense wasn't as bad as I THOUGHT it was going to be. Our continued inability to manage a half and adventures in getting a final yard don't foreshadow a great season. There are glimmers of brilliance and reasons for hope.....but as always, hope isn't a strategy, but appears to be all we have. Let's hope we can turn things around!

Lebeau’s Exposed Herd
Out on the field is Lebeau’s exposed herd – obviously, obviously this won’t do
Playing a zone like a steaming goat turd – obviously they don’t have a clue
One made a play and he spoke these gloat words – “Obviously, obviously I so rule”
Down 21 at the time, this joke heard – “Obviously, you’re a @%#^&@#* fool”
We all obviously own this
And we’re obviously due
So we’ll obviously fix it
Or we’re obviously screwed….
Late in a game, leading just by 4 stirred, “Obviously we know what they’re going to do”
We’ll play prevent rushing 3 men forward – obviously that will see us through”
An unknown QB with no wins of note cured obviously one more losing streak on cue
And so the coach as he clutched his throat heard, obviously, obviously “BOOOOOO”
“It’s the poor turnover ratio
It’s the penalties we drew
It’s the lack of fundamentals”
“Obviously, Coach, it’s YOU!!!!”
“Why in the world do you always choke?” spurred ‘obviously obviously they’re good too’
“They’re 1-8 are you blowing smoke sir” – ‘Obviously we have work to do’
“The Standard’s the standard,” the cliché coach slurred, “Obviously, obviously we’ll stay true”
But with the standard so ‘mediocred’ obviously glory days are through….
