Surely Coach T should have picked his brain clean by now?
Its time for Coach T to man up and make some necessary changes.
If not, don't expect us to reach another Superbowl for awhile. Lets let
Keith Butler, Carnell lake make some changes and yourself, you were suppose
to be the greatest defensive thing since sliced bread how about applying it?

And to keep Bruce Ariens, It just supports my thoughts even more that Ben runs the show here in the Steel City! Has Ben improved under BA? Has our offense improved under BA?
We have the skill players in place to be so much more than what we are.
Things to think about this offseason, SCORING In THE REDZONE , TIME MANAGEMENT, PLAYER DEVELOPMENT. WITH THE PURGE OF PLAYERS, THE CHUCK BROWN,CORTEZ ALLENS, SLYVESTERS
OF THE STEELERS WORLD MUST BE READY TO STEP IN AND MAKE A CONTRIBUTION.

Hopefully Kevin Colbert will think out of the box and purge enough players to
be able to become a player in FA/ Draft So we can reload and play championship football?

    I will repeat:

I am SOOOOO glad that none of you guys are running the Steelers, or that the Rooneys don't let the fans opinions factor into their personnel decisions. They would be so screwed if they did. They'd look a lot like the Cleveland Browns.

I'm still waiting for some solid arguments as to why he is even adequate. I'm contemplating a new topic to try and draw them out from people. I really would like to know why people think he is good. (In case this is misinterpreted, I am agreeing with you :) )

They think he is good because they use reasoning that either takes ends results and uses that to justify mediocre performance or they use syllogisms such as, 1 The Steelers went to the Superbowl, Arains is the OC for the Steelers therefore Arains is a SB winning OC. If they would actually breakdown game to game and season long goals I think they would find that BA is lacking just as we do.

inadequate or adequate, he needs to open the playbook and throw more plays in there.

Dick Lebeau is NOT the problem. He had the number 1 defense in the league AGAIN this year. Not having Clark in there and then Hampton and Kiesel going down against Tebow became the problem in the playoff game and he had to play the cards he was dealt. It killed us in the end.

Fire him and he would be picked up by the Bengals in an instant since their coordinator is apparently leaving.

Bruce Arians on the other hand - GOOD RIDDANCE!

I would like too see Tomlin no so passive in his leadership though. Watching him on the sidelines is equivalent to a tennis coach in the stands IMO.

I disagree with you 100% on your statement. BobbyBiz is right on this. It's time for the Steelers to start thinking outside the box a little bit. They need to do something to rebuild this team. It is definitely get rid of some of the vets who are pass their time, Aaron Smith, Foote, Farrior, McFadden, Battle, Will Allen, Arnes Battle, Hoke, Hampton, Kemo, Moore, Madison, Leftwich, Willie Colon too injury prone, Sepulveda, Suisham leg too weak, and Starks too injury prone. Time to go with the young guns as BobbyBiz stated.

They also need to make a significant free agent signing like they did when they signed Bettis. Somebody who is capable of being HOF material like Bettis who will be with the organization for a long time.

Anything that makes sense should be reasonable. One of those things is to cut ties with Arians so that we can get back to the Super Bowl with the talent we have. It is painfully clear that the Steelers will never win another Super Bowl with BA as the OC!!

Lebeau is the problem IMHO. If you are so short personnel, why didn't he make an adjustment?

Why leave taylor man on man with a receiver he was having difficulties with?

Why ever would you play zero coverage in the NFL? meaning no safety in the middle of the field.

Why would you leave Gay man on man with anyone in the last minute of the any game?

How come Kellen Clements, Tyler Pako, Blaine Gabbert, Painter, Tim Tebow, Andy Dalton looked like the second coming of Joe Montana against us?

Why do we have 4th quarter meltdowns on defense?

Now, I know some of this can be attributed to players just not being in the place they are suppose to be in. But most of this is scheme. And that falls on Lebeau.

I doubt changing coaches will help much now. The team is old with little to no cap room. There may be a couple of semi-down seasons to re-stock. Obviously I hope not but with the age situation along with several lackluster drafts it is what it is.

Hold on now look at the injuries this team faced this yearand look at the results. Are red zone offense is bad but i think next year saunders fixes that. We were 12-4 and a few bad plays away from being the number 1 seed. 4000 yard qb who missed a game and played with a broken thumb a strained foot and an ankle that probably would have been better off broken. 2 1000 yard wra and a running back that didnt get to 1000 but had a chance before the he got hurt also mendy ended with his highest ypc average of his career. All this behind a line that was absolutely in shambles from the first week of camp.
Now that i covered the offense lets look at the defense. We finished 1st in points and against the pass and i believe overall. Yes our sacks were down this year and there wasnt much pressure but we never had a healthy harrison wood combo. Hell at one time we were missing wood harrison and and worilds just came back from injury. We lost smith no big shock there but then hoke then brown then alle then clark lewis has to play with a hurt hammy in the playoffs so anthony madison who was just signed didnt play. All in all i think the coaches did a good job this year.

I found it to be very emotional when I saw them holding hands in front of Heinz Field one Sunday before the game singing songs of peace and tranquility. :roflmao:

So true. Here in Skins country the radio is full of people yelling, "Fire the coach!!" and "Dump the Q.B.!!" They do over and over and they haven't won a playoff game in 20 years.

As soon as I saw he posted "son" I knew someone would make a big issue out of it... makes me think of the scene from Tombstone when the guy gets mad at Wyatt Earp for calling him son, seems like Earp shot him 30 minutes later at the O.K. Corral... Stop throwing this bandwagon crap in people's faces, it's ridiculous when diehard fans get labeled as band wagoners just because they criticize their teams performance or management. You can't honestly tell me you enjoy watching when the team can't get off the field on 3rd down against 3rd string QB's, or can't put points on the board against bottom of the league teams. Just because we don't enjoy seeing our team under perform doesn't mean we're band wagoners or don't support the Steelers. I'm a 4th generation Steeler fan that will bleed black and gold till the day I die... doesn't mean I'm in love with BA, think we have the greatest O-line in the league, or am impressed with our 3rd down defense.

One of my favorites as well! And I do agree with you that I love seeing them put it on the line, and being overall happy with the team. I just get nervous that we are squandering our time with our franchise QB...
