The ravens always seem to give the pats fits, they give the steelers fits too. They have two premier pass rushers and their front seven overall is very big and powerful.

Get ready for the dink and dunk, pressure up the middle.
    This could get ugly.

The house early and often as everyone has said. Shake him up. Let him sit back there and he will carve this secondary up like a Thanksgiving Turkey. Ben and the O will have to be sharp.

This lineup of CB's against Brady just doesn't inspire confidence.

    William Gay
    Brandon Boykin
    Antwon Blake
    Ross Cockrell
    Cortez Allen

Ah, we forget that the Pats are good, and the Steelers have trouble with teams that are BAD, so all will be fine. Tough to imagine they will come out flat for this game. Some poor execution - yes. Some first game jitters for some - yes. But flat? I sure hope not.

The Patriots starting center Stork is in concussion protocol, blitz Brady up the middle with Shazier so he can use his speed. The Steelers are going to jam Gronk at the line of scrimmage per twitter Jeremy Fowler, they don't have much on offense besides Edelman and Gronk.

I believe the Pats have other NFL caliber offensive players that can hurt the Steelers. I hope the Steelers don't underestimate the other Pats offensive players.

With LaFell injured and Blount suspended, the other skill players of the pats look a little less scary. Outside of Edelman their WR situation isn't looking pretty. Branden Bolden and James White are their RB's (and Travares Cadet)... without Blount that doesn't look great either.

I'm not under estimating them, but I'd rather see those guys than LaFell and Blount.

Blitzing brady is a recipe for getting torched. He's outstanding at reading defenses both pre and post snap and gets rid of the ball before blitzes get to him. IF you want to get brady on his ass you need to provide solid coverage and get coverage sacks. That's how RR and the Jets used to beat him and that's what we did to him in our last victory against them. If we go in there guns blazing we will get smoked by the pats yet once again.

They said they are going to use different players to jam him, I don't think they will have a problem with that. The problem will be in coverage they don't have anybody to use in single coverage, which is why they need to use a safety and a LB.

Name one? Brandon Lafell is injured they have that midget Amendola he doesn't worry me. If they can keep Gronk and Edelman in check they should be okay.

Any player that makes it into the NFL can play. Any given Sunday a "no named" player can have a good game.

Not to mention the Pats seem to turn no name players into big players all the time.

I think they'll have a problem. The Pats use him in a lot of different looks, and put him in motion quite a bit. When he's off the line in motion, he doesn't really get jammed. I hope they find an answer for him, but most teams don't.

I look for Reggie Wayne to have a pretty good game.

We say the same things prior to every game against them.. And every time Brady ends up picking us apart. It doesn't matter who the Patriots have catching balls.. Brady knows how to defeat this scheme, plain and simple. If we play Lebeau's style of defense, we will get torched. This is the worst secondary we've had in over a decade. Our only hope is to have Heyward and Tuitt creating consistent pressure up front. Our strategy of blitzing linebackers never works against Brady. He always identifies our blitzes and hits the hot route. He's terrible when pressured in the pocket. The only way for us to do that is with pressure From the dline. There's just never enough time for the blitzing linebackers to reach Brady. The ball is always out by the time they get there.

The Steelers beat the Pats in 2011 by running a defensive scheme they had never played before, thus fooling Brady completely. So the key is simple: don't do anything you have ever done before. Easier said than done.
