As many of you are, I'm sure, I'm still struggling over the "Debacle In Denver". However, unless I want to l pack my bags, I better hustle up and get over it...So, here it goes...2011 IS OVER!! Now, moving forward, I am excited for what the fute holds. In particular the secondary. Looking back to the loss in The SB to The Pack, I was truly worried about the group. Maybe Lake has helped, but, I believe it has more to do with the emergence of a deep group. Very impressed with Lewis and Allen, and Brown may hve more upside than both. With that said the needs I see are..1.Inside LB 2.A Hoss of a NT 3.Depth at OL 4.Backup QB.....Miller is up soon, and I really like Wesley Saunders, I think he can step up next year. Worilds will be very productive, I believe. Our skill positions on offense are set. Baron Batch should replace The Creeper. Defensively upfront, Heyward I'm telling you is All Pro material. Kiesel is solid for 2 more years...Hood, who knows? LB is a need on the inside. Sylvester could emerge, but hopefully someone like Hightower is still around, doubt it though...Safety ccould potentially be a need sooner rather than later....All told, the organization is in good shape. Bottom line, guys gotta stay hungry...Schedule, at this point looks tough...Oh yeah, by the way...Hines Ward must be brought back....The guy bleeds Black and Gold.....

There are some Steelers who give us great moments, or solid years, but never really endear themselves to "Steeler Nation" - Santonio, Burress, Fanika, even Porter.

Hines is a STEELER - plain and simple. He deserves to come back at a reduced rate and be given a role that will allow him to complete his career with dignity and grace. He can be the "Bettis" of 2012 and perhaps earn a coaching spot in the process. We need to see that Hines smile on the sidelines next year and create a role for him to contribute to a dominating season.

Tomlin did say there will be changes this offseason so lets hope they are the correct changes we need. Hopefully everyone will recover from their surgeries and start the year off right. Its gonna be a long offseason.

The ACLs concern me. If they are complete re-builds, it's going to be tough for those players to come back full-strength.
