judging by the numbers the Pats put up in preseason I say drop seven into coverage, rush four and dare them to run the ball, heck the Pats third string QB made over 40 attempts tonight and that is what they have averaged. Let Brady make those quick throws to Edelman and kill him when he catches it. Hit Gronk high/low the whole game and even if the Steelers can't win make sure the Pats and their fans know that they played the Steelers and they suffered for it.

Nah, he just had a little too much to drink tonight. He's usually a pretty friendly fellow. :tequila: He just happens to be an angry drunk who hates Star Trek.

Now with Brady playing makes our situation of winning that game more dire. The guy already own us & with our defense extremely poor play during the preseason makes it more bleak. Boy do we have many issues on defense. Who is more of a worry, Shamarko or Cortez??

What I'm having trouble with is the Patriots high and mighty stance, while they fired the 2 fall guys!

Why were they fired if the "science" says the balls got that way by temperature difference? Why haven't they been re-hired? Were they given notification that said misconduct (which they refute due to he science) would result in them being terminated?

I'm glad Brady will be playing and I'm glad we face them at ( near) their best. If we can't beat them at their best no matter what our situation is with injuries and suspensions then we don't deserve to win.
I honestly couldn't care less about Deflategate and the shenanigans on all sides ( Cheatriots > NFLPA & NFL ) I care about the games and how well we play.

I love my Steelers win or lose and have for close to 37 years now and I think it's pretty damn sad that some want a win no matter what and have taken on a "by hook or by crook" mentality. This is a competition between the best we can put on the field against the best they can put on the field on any given game day and I don't want any kind of "help" to see us win.
So Brady's gonna play? Great! Let's give 'em heck and beat 'em down and prove everybody wrong.

    Just my opinion guy's.

My wanting Brady punished had nothing to do with the outcome of the game.

As for the game itself, I don't know why its dismissed that we will be missing 2 big weapons. I have no interest in coach speak, injuries matter or in this case, suspensions. I'm not saying we can't win, just that it shouldn't be expected that we SHOULD win regardless of who is missing.

I believe the Steelers have adequate weapons that can step up to help the team win.

One big key to this game will be the Bellichick coached defense vs Ben/Hailey. Bellichick has a way of implementing game plans that seem to give QB's/offenses fits.

It will also be interesting to see how well the Pat's secondary holds up. Another big key will be the Steelers ability to run the ball. That might be impacted by the loss of Pouncey.

Can the Steelers pressure Brady enough to make him uncomfortable?

There's some intriguing match ups in this game.

Best outcome is a lot of points scored by both teams. I'm hoping for 54-47 and steelers win by a TD. (note: AB, gronk, and brady on my FF team...) :hehehe:

I'm not discounting the injuries or suspensions or saying that we should win. We'll only win if we execute better than they do.

I'm just saying that I want to see this trial by fire. Call me crazy but I love the competition and seeing our Steelers triumph over adversity. And if we lose this one? It's only one game and we've a long season to correct and improve if we can.
I'm far more worried about our D than I am about the injuries and suspensions personally. But I'm not going to predict doom and gloom until I've seen the starters play a season game with game planning and going full out.

The easiest way to figure why things happen the way they do is to follow the money.

I've been saying forever to anyone who would listen that Brady would be playing in the opening game. There is no way the NFL, Gooddell, Kraft, Belicheat weren't going to have their "Golden Boy" playing in the opening game.

What a joke this league has become. Becoming more and more like the WWE everyday. The integrity of the game has become destroyed.
