Just read this article on Wallace:

    http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/12012/1202980-66.stm

Would you guys take the first round draft pick or sign him? We have a very strong WR group, having another 1st round pick would be real nice. Not sure what I'd do, I'm still hopeful Wallace can develop his game more but if this is as good as he is going to get I think I may take the draft pick.

Sign him. I would be shocked if he wasn't back next year. Cotchery on the other hand...I'd be surprised if he didn't move on. Which sucks, because he was a great addition.

Let him go, get the first round pick and copy NE and get another pass receiving TE. The TE obviously cause huge mismatches and we need bigger guys when in the red zone. Sanders, Brown, sign Cotchery, Saunders and Miller/New TE.

I have been saying for the last month that Wallace/Brown and Sanders are not good together. They are all the same type of player, with Wallace being a bit faster. We have a clear problem scoring points in the second half of the season when we turned our backs on Hines Ward and Heath Miller. You all might like to think that we have a good receiver corp with the "young money", but I would take points over fantasy football stats, and the young receivers arent scoring points.

I tink this is our best option. Tender the highest contract to Wallace, hope somebody signs him so we can pick up another first round pick. We wont be able to carry the bloated contract that we will demand, like Holmes did. Cotchery is going to walk for sure. Dont hold out hope that he will stay.

I would go into next season with Brown and Sanders starting, a renewed use of Ward in the slot (he should be one of the best slot receivers in the league, but the Steelers rarely use a slot receiver), and more throws to Miller in the passing game. I would then try to find a taller/physical receiver to fill the possession role that Ward will leave behind when he retires.

You guys will blast me becuase you all still think Wallace is an elite talent, but he is a one-tricik pony who will never fill the possession receiver role or any other crucial role.

I totally agree with this, that is why Ward not seeing the field really hurt us, we need possession receivers to be apart of the equation in the offense too.

I don't see the TE being a big part into the offense until our line improves to the point that the TE can go out on routes more than they need to stay in and block.

I've had enough of Wallace. He's soft. He dropped one right in his chest against Denver, the latest in a string of games where he's either dropped a pass or not neen aggressive enough in going for the ball. Antonio Brown is better. Sanders is a good #2. And Cotchery is terrific at #3.

I agree with the others, that Saunders has a lot of potential. Trouble is, we'd waste it like we've wasted Heath. You need an OC that's willing to take advantage of this talent, and that is something that we just don't have.

I would get rid of him and take the pick. I still think Brown is the best all around receiver at this point and I am afraid that Wallace has or is close to hittng his peak.

Brown is a great receiver, but he wouldn't have done half of what he did if Wallace wasn't getting the double team on the other side of the field. Its the combination of both on the field at the same time, that makes them both dangerous receivers.

I disagree, Brown makes the tough catch even in double coverage. Wallace barely makes the catch even in single coverage.

Dump Wallace. The kid got no hands and we don't have an accurate enough QB to take advantage of his speed.

My miggest concern in letting Wallace go is the fact that Sanders seems quite injury prone. With Hines pretty much done that would leave the WR corps pretty thin.

Excellent point. Jury is still out whether Sanders is made of glass or just unlucky so far. Hope it's the later, I like what I see from this kid, wish Wallace had some of the fight in him that Sanders shows.

Take the draft pick and go with Sanders, Brown, Ward, Grisham and Lyons. I think Cothery will be gone.

But either way I would not loose sleep over it.

We could do alot with two first round picks though. But most teams don't give those up. Except maybe Oakland

Catching the ball in double coverage is easy. Every receiver knows that. The hard part is getting the ball thrown in the right spot or thrown to you at all, which is up to the quarterback. Brown was not double covered half as much as he would be without Wallace on the team.

I agree Brown is great and makes tough catches, even when double covered. But how often does that happen? Not often enough for this to be a real consideration. And how often would Ben go to Brown if he got all the double coverage? Maybe about as often as he went to Wallace in the second half as the season...? Maybe less...

sign Wallace. Why would you let him get away.Just the threat of what he is capable of doing is worth the cash.He is feared as a down the field threat more than anyone else in the leauge.

Yup. Plus he's been relatively injury-resistant.

While it would be nice to have an extra 1st round pick to help solidify our OL, Wallace is a proven commodity whereas a rookie could potentially be a huge bust.

I say sign him,, Sanders is always injured and Wallace takes the heat away from Brown. We could get Wallace for cheaper now than say a few months ago. He's beginning to run cross routes too he doesn't always just run up the sidelines. So he dropped an easy one in Denver , all the good ones do, even Andre Johnson dropped an easy one vs Cinci

Sign, sign, sign. We would be crazy to let Wallace go. We learned that lesson letting Plax go. Santonio was one thing, Wallace is completely different, I still think he will be a elite reciever in this league when all is said and done...
