TTF, May I ask to please this thread here.

Hugesnack, thankyou for that video on your signature. I owned a Pitbull for 14 yrs.... best dog I ever had and Ive always have been a dog owner of several different breeds. I also had a "connection" to vick, knew what and where he was doing 18 months before it became public knowledge ( i'd discuss that with via PM if you'd like ) and was jumping up and down with joy when he was busted.

I have a new found respect for you Sir!!!! That video needs to be seen by everyone on this board.

My disdain for Vick is a great as anyone on this board, maybe deeper due to things ya'll don't know. That video tell of the dogs final story which brought tears to my eyes. Vicks final stroy has yet to be told, or is still in the works.

Tomlin and Vick are friends. They are both from Newport News ( Badport news ) and close in age. Tomlin holds a football camp there every year for area youth and Vick is a part of that, helping, coaching etc, so those who excuse Tomlin from this signing is WAY off base.

Vick has been punished for what he did plus he wears that badge of disgrace John Q public want let him remove. I would not what to be living his life. As a Christian I may be forgiven of my sins but I still have to deal with the consequenses those sins bring. Same with Vick...........

    Back to Football.......Steeler football!!!!
Brad is out, Landry is our only option should Ben go down. If we didn't have a SB contending Team I'd say go with Landry and let the chips fall where they may but that isn't the case, we are Loaded on Offense and our D isn't bad, young and getting better.
We need another QB option on the team so who is left out there because we can't wait till the season starts, that's just bad business.
Vick.. Jason Campbell, Josh Johnson, Jordan Palmer, Tyler Thigpen, Kain Colter.

I don't know why Vick was brought in WITHOUT competition like we did @ Kicker. I would be more at ease with this signing if Along with Vick Campbell,Johnson & Thigpen were also brought in and the winner is signed.

I hope Vick's Story ends well, I pray he affects some young men's life in a positive way by using his life, the good, bad & ugly. Maybe Tomlin see something in him now we don't see. Maybe Tomlin is throwing him a last bone hoping he does well with it. All I know is I hope if called upon to replace Ben he performs better than he did with the Jets or we are in TROUBLE!!!

Wow! Thanks, and you're welcome. Here it is again, for anyone interested:

Hector is my favorite. He recently passed away due to old age, but lived a quiet, full, excellent life.

And a link to a critically acclaimed must-read book to anyone who likes good books, or wants to know about dogs, and/or the newly written history of their favorite football team:

Love that video. Also have tears everytime I see it. I would like to thank you cajun and Snack for standing up for what you believe. We have to be there voice. I, like you cajun, have an inside route to what was going with vick, Not so much before it happened but after, and thats where I have some of my biggest problem's with him.

We all are entitled to our own opinion so I am going to leave it at that. He is now a Steeler, do i like it no, can i change it, no. I do not like feeling this way about a team I love so much, and i hate to see Steeler Nation seperated and arguing amongst ourselves like this. So hopefully we never need him and Ben will take us all the way to #7

HERE WE GO STEELERS HERE WE GO, HERE WE GO STEELERS HERE WE GO!!!!

Yeah... Johnny Rotten!!!! He looked kinda like the Pit her Brother had. Her mom who is in her sixties had a brindle Pit she would take on walks to the park. They are such good dogs with bad raps because of people like our Back-up QB.... its truly a shame.

    Go Steelers

Cajun told me via PM that he did report it to the authorities, but it didn't take for some reason. Maybe not enough evidence for a search warrant, I don't know. You can ask him.

Just speculating here but I do have some expertise in this area. It is possible that authorities had to get their ducks in a row and do their own investigation before they acted considering the charge and the person accused. I know it should be more simple than this but in these kind of situations you want to make sure everything is a. true and b. that it sticks once you start the ball rolling. The average citizen really has no idea how long some investigations can take (thanks to SVU and CSI that solve cases in an hour). Anyhow, like I said...just speculating!

I have to be careful here, I personally know several deputy sheriffs in the county I live in. My conversations with them didn't lead to any changes. I couldn't provide enough proof to allow the law to do anything. I drive a big truck and make deliveries in a couple states. While making deliveries in Surry co. Va. I kept running into a couple deputies, getting coffee type of thing, I told them what I believed to be true. They believed me, said they could do nothing due to legal issues. One of the deputies told me they had already been alerted and was "watching", waiting. I felt sick, like nothing was ever going to happen. But once the authorities had what they needed to get a search warrant things started happening real fast with many many officers and agencies. It was evident they knew more than they had let on.

Nothing I did or said made any difference. I wish it had. I'm just glad a few kennels was shut down, a few dogs were saved and the public is learning Pitbulls are not monsters. They're great pets!!!!!

Just finished reading this the other day. It was a good read and gave me a lot of insight to the case that I didn't know before. I was happy to see that so many of the dogs were able to be rehabilitated.
What ticked me off most about that story was Poindexter's involvement. How could someone sworn to uphold the law be such a dick about the whole thing? What he was doing was borderline Obstruction in my opinion

It's sad to think that all that you told the local authorities didn't matter. If Boddie wouldn't have been caught with possession, they never would have searched Vick's house. Who knows how much longer this might have gone on.

If not caught, Vick still would be doing it. He funded and participated. That's reality.

It wasn't a coincidence that they stumbled upon his cousin having drugs... They were watching , waiting

I'm surprised Marcus hasn't been caught.....
